The problem with Mad Cool in July is that it can perfectly be almost 40ºC at 17-18 pm and it has to shut down at 2 am.

This is why there are so few main (long) acts there.

Yeah very true mate.  I guess that’s why lots use it as a holiday as well as a festival

With Green Day, Muse and Linking Park out there, you cant say "there’s just not much available on the circuit this year"

You could say not many original acts that haven’t headlined tons of times between them across Europe already

Green day will never play mad cool again - muse headlined 3 years ago so LP might be the only one they should have of those 3

It isn't too bad at night for the headliners, but for some of the acts earlier on it's too hot. Wolf Alice in 2022 might be the hottest I've ever felt in my life 😂

Yeah o was there - everyone fighting for the 10M of shade 😂

There is no camping in the festival and I am 99,99% sure tickets won't sell out at all.

Also don't stay nearby, there is usually a free bus/metro/train back to the centre of Madrid (Atocha station), so anything close to Atocha, or you could just get back to Atocha and grab a taxi then to your hotel from there (not from the taxi stop at the venue, way longer waiting times and more expensive).

And I recommend you start looking and book the hotel as soon as you can since it will be way cheaper now. Most have a free cancellation policy till a few days before the date, so you've got nothing to lose if you do that.

not the best advice based on my expeeince, as getting to Atocha station can be a log-winded and potentially dangerous task.. When I went in 2023, there were thousands of people piling into the metro station - had any of those metros bken down, god only knows what would've happened with so many people constantly entering...  The bus to Atocha was safer but by no means conveneient. Anyone wanting a taxi - forget about it!

My advice would be to stay as close to the festival as possible as this festival is notorious for its disorganisation and inability to get people in and out promoptly or safely...

Peoples festival plans resting on Linkin Park showing up is a pretty grim state of affairs.

I haven't seen one good fest poster this year.

May have to just have that second baby I've been delaying.

Pohoda in Slovakia is looking tasty...

Well, that mainly happened on the first day of 2023 (an organisational disaster the first year it was held in the new location) and in 2024 there was the combination of train (new option) + bus + metro with no remarkable issues.

The venue is on an industrial park, it's not like you will find accommodation close and if you are staying in Getafe/Leganés/Fuenlabrada you will need a taxi anyway and getting it from the venue...

Edit: Just checked, there is an hotel quite close to the venue, costs 770€ for 3 days a room for 1. The second option closer takes an hour walk and is 570€ for 3 days a room for 1 as of now (and it won't be long till it sells out). Plenty of options near Atocha atm for 200-300€. So it is what is, that's the main advice someone can get.
