Simon has released his annual albums of the year list, which usually includes a good few artists who get booked for the following year (but no, Nick Cave, Jack White and Fontaines DC are not going to be there) https://www.instagram.com/p/DDFEd7KC2g_

Nilüfer Yanya, MJ Lenderman and Kim Deal gotta be in for shouts.

Father John Misty announced a few tour dates today ending with a Glasgow gig on the 28th of August

Includes a date at Moseley Folk Fest too, also announcing today. Reckon you are right and he could be on for EOTR too.

line up tomorrow. i believe there will be Some Very Endoftheroad-y headliners... something For everyone, not Just old Men. maybe something that does one's confidence or pride some good? and maybe some reindeer?

Oh God, is this solidly sourced? It's my headliners from hell.

Personally, I can't say those names excite me too much if true (other than caribou), but at some of my favourite eotrs I haven't caught any of the headliners. I trust Simon and the team to curate a lineup with plenty more interesting acts and a load of wonderful gems to be discovered. I have to say though, an early announcement knocks a bit of excitement out of things.

I like Sharon Van Etten, and last time I saw her at a festival (Primavera) she seemed to have turned into big stage material/headliner to me. Had seen her three times and that was the best. Caribou has always put on a good show when I've seen him too, and although I've not been a big FJM fan in the past I have given the new album a go and it has some good tunes on it. Self Esteem I can take or leave but imagine that'll still be a good show!

I'm not upset about an early announcement - think a first batch and knowing more will follow is still pretty fun. Looking forward to it!

Good to hear!

I haven't seen SVE for a few years to be fair and I really like her stuff, so maybe I'm being slightly gloomy as none of these acts were on my personal shortlist.

I haven't listened to FJM's latest as never really got on with him, but I have heard from a few his most recent material is very good so will check it out for sure.

Excited nonetheless!
