Grizzly bear reuniting next year. Potential headliners?

I'd love this but the primavera sound announcement / timing of that festival probably makes it less likely?

Edit - ignore me, immediately realised I've been baited by a fake lineup!

Don't think there's any chance of Amyl being in Europe at the end of August if they have London dates in mid-July and November.

I would have thought there would be a lot of reasons to tour Europe in summer and they've just announced US tour dates for March to May. I have a 0% prediction win rate over the years anyway 😆

GOAT and PSB are surely too small for EOTR headliners

We'll have to disagree on that. PSB are currently playing to large theatres, including The Roundhouse in London, and put on an immense show, which would look great on the Woods stage. GOAT have sub-headlined before and don't do that many appearances. Someone like Fontaines DC are now too big to headline EOTR. Amyl will be soon. I think Simon has to seek out good value and catch bands at the right time of their growth.

New on here, just bought my ticket for EOTR next year - will be my third year going and can't wait!

Don't think they've been mentioned yet but War on Drugs would be my ideal headliner, and are a completely different live beast since they last played in 2015 (listen to the latest Live Drugs album if you don't believe me). They were incredible at the Royal Albert Hall earlier in the year.

Also could see Big Thief on there, surprised they've not headlined before really, although not sure if EOTR will want Green Man's headliners from last year? Assume they will have some new music out by then too

I think PSB would be a possibility ( Maybe Thursday headliner?)

Goat are good live but i dont think would suit as a wood stage headliner. Garden maybe

War on Drugs would be good, if they are touring europe around the festival

Big thief were supposed to headline 2020, so could see them playing again. Maybe not next year though

WoD just seem to be touring endlessly, and have already released spring US festival dates so fingers crossed they come back across

Didn't realise they were on the bill for 2020! As others mentioned, father john misty would be a decent alternative, enjoying his latest singles

Where did i suggest Fontaines DC?

PSB would be a naff headliner. They're not interesting enough to headline.

You didn’t. I did by way of an example. Their name has come up in the past. And you will eat your words about PSB once you’ve seen them.

I have seen them. They're fine but not someone who should be headlining in my opinion. Afternoon filler is fine.

bdrmm, who last played in 2022, are headlining the EOTR Christmas gig, with The Orchestra (For Now) and Rob Auton & JF Abraham.

TO(FN) will be stepping up from Big Top this year to Garden next.

Simon was at their gig a few rows of bodies behind me last week before putting them on at the Lexington thing in December the next day. He's barely stopped plugging them on his socials. Taken up managing them, maybe.

Was chatting to a member of the band at the windmill a few weeks ago about EOTR, he was saying its one of his favourite festivals. Said noting confirmed about next year yet but hopes they can play!

Public Service Broadcasting with their current show and staging would be AWESOME on the Woods stage in the dark.
