They have a full US tour of 2,000ish cap venues. Not sold out. Tickets available for 30 odd quid. Is mad, can only assume it’s for fun as they can be making any money from it

Nice, I'm out of upvotes but this looks like great fun. I see the Traktor x1 too. 🙂 Picore is actually something I looked into before buying the Homepods for multiroom, but it was ultimately going to be too expensive to get the Pis and speakers for every room, compared to the Homepods. You see, I never mentioned this, but I actually use the homepods through a Music Assistant Server, (HASS,) streaming audio from online sources like Spotify, Internet Radio or my own lossless FLAC library locally using my Plex server, to any, or all, rooms in the building. We have some old tablets wall mounted as home assistant dashboards, to control the smart home stuff. There's a music assistant dashboard on there too, allowing anybody in the home to stream anything, from any of the providers / sources mentioned above, to any room. This is a whole other rabbit hole, but you mentioned Picore, so it's time to nerd out, right? I have my main server, which runs Unraid, it acts as my mass storage with 128Tb for music and video (backups only, obviously!) and runs Home Assistant (with Music Assistant) as a VM as well as Plex, and a load of other supporting docker containers. (Excuse the dust haha, it sits in the corner of cupboard, I will dust it soon.) Then this is one of the tablet dashboards I was talking about (yes I was too tight / poor to buy a nice flush wall mount, function over form and all that.) Keep in mind we all also have this on our phones, so can control any of the following without using a dashboard. If the internet is up and running, we can even access any of the below from anywhere in the world. Which can obviously control things like lighting, door locks, smart plugs, blinds and give environmental information like temperature, humidity and air quality (Cara is asthmatic.) It also monitors electricity usage (the pub uses lots of energy, so in the flat, we have presence sensors, timers and all sorts connected to this smart system, to try and save energy. It seem futile, given how much the pub uses, but we try.) It also controls the alarm system, door locks, and monitors CCTV (Don't worry, everything in my setup can work without an internet connection, and still operate in a power cut situation, using UPS.) But here's the fun (and relevant) stuff It also manages my Plex server, and controls any of the video streaming devices around the flat (Nvidia Shields mostly.) And this is what I was talking about, Music Assistant, from these dashboards (or the home assistant dashboards on our phones) we can stream music to any room, from online services, like Spotify, from Internet radio, or from our own collection on Plex. Talk about rabbit holes.... 🙈🤣 Anyway, piCorePlayer was one of the solutions I looked at for the multi room music streamer. But I just couldn't afford it at the time, given you need to also buy speakers and amps etc (if you don't buy powered speakers.) The home pods worked out cheaper. I do regret it, we could have just upgraded the audio solutions attached to piCore any time we wanted, whereas now we have to replace the homepods for entire streamer and audio setups if we want to upgrade. But it is what it is. That Wiim Ultra will connect into all of this seamlessly. 🙂 Sorry for going off on a tangent there... But in my defence, it was you that mentioned piCore. 🙈🙈🤣
