Why is a strong possibility for Lytham? There's 0 information surrounding it.

I dunno just have that gut feeling and felt like I had a gut feeling before NME posted the "Cryptic Message". It's a festival who go for older acts and look ambitious.

The Cure would be a huge get, but given it's their own show, expect a lot of deep cuts. They don't overly pander to festival crowds.

It comes down to if it's part of a bigger tour. They've done Hyde Park before, but that was either a UK or European exclusive show. Stereophonics can definitely be in contention since they are lined up for IOW.

the message points to the coordinates of Blackpool tower though. I can see it relating to a short series of gigs around album release

I dont think so. There have been teasers all around the world which doesn't point to a short series of gigs. The Blackpool thing is a look to the past / reflection and not pointing to any live gig imo. Robert was born in Blackpool and then moved to Crawley, where there has already been a teaser.

I get that. speculation on a lot of fan sites is around the cities the teasers are appearing in being gig locations. others see it other ways  so far I think the campaign is pretty well put together.

I don't think it be a one off gig I reckon it'll  be in the middle of a tour. Similar to how Def Lepard/Mötley Crue did it.

At a 25k venue i don't think the first part would matter a whole lot, it would sell anyway.

Biggest thing to look at is whether they tour AEG or LN - no idea if this is confirmed yet. Lytham is LN i think?
