Working out where they might turn up in the UK is a tricky one. Isle of Wight and Download were possibilities but both are now spoken for, BST Hyde Park is running out of dates, they don't seem to be in the Glastonbury chat, so could be a guessing game. 18 hours ago, Benjsh said: Probably too big for the festival. They sell out stadiums regularly so I doubt they will play to 25k. Be ace if they did though and I'd one million percent be there. Tbf this festival does book stadium level acts now. So it's not a no imo.

Thinking about it, how many people saw Muse at Huddersfield's stadium last year? For football it's about a 24,000, but the venue itself claims they can fit more in for concerts. If Lytham's 25k and able to book Timberlake, who I'm surprised isn't doing bigger, then it's still a possible match imo.
northernangel
Places like Lytham are more about if they act fancy it that the venue size.

At their peak, no doubt they'd have sold out Milton Keynes Bowl, but there were tickets still available on showday - think they did 50-55k from what I heard, which tbf is still more than the 45k Chase & Status had at a supposedly sold out show (capacity reduced, perhaps?). The £95 ticket price probably didn't help. Although granted, it sure as sh*t felt full leaving the Bowl after the show and taking the best part of forever to crawl out of the place.

FeverDream
I think Muse just tour too much. I can’t think of many acts that play stadiums in May and June and then arenas in September and October.

I was surprised they did extra London & Manchester arena dates on the last tour tbf after the MK/Huddersfield stadium shows. But hey, I'm not their tour booker. Given those weren't really quick sellers, maybe it'll be one or the other with stadiums and arenas on this cycle, likely for 2026 as I presume 2025 will be primarily festivals judging by the Norway show announcement earlier this week. They did it in 2019 too IIRC. I was one of the mad people who decided to get tickets for both Huddersfield and Manchester (played virtually the same set list I think, but hey ho). Interestingly, standing at Manchester was about £20 more expansive than standing at Huddersfield which I found weird as I thought stadium shows were always more expensive than arenas 🤷🏻♂️

E.g. Paul Heaton playing Leeds and Manchester Arenas shortly, and Bramall Lane next year, all for roughly the same ticket price
DomDom1984
Easier to fill an arena. So charging less for stadiums isn't that weird, depending on whereabouts the seats are

Good on him tbf.

When I first saw Muse on The Resistance tour in 2009/10, the O2 show in November '09 was £40-45, while the stadium show at Wembley in September '10 was around £50-55. Admittedly it was mental looking at a seat map of Muse's O2 shows 14 months ago and that seat I sat in for the 2009 show now being priced at £140. Such is the bananas way these gigs are priced now, as also evident with Depeche Mode having £80 for the cheapest seats in the house.
NorthernSoul52
Heaton, to be fair, has been extremely vocal about keeping the prices down. Muse at Lytham makes sense, especially if they can get a temporary capacity extension again, and it's marketed as a relative rarity. Say their only other show was BST, for example. It would feel like a coup.

NorthernSoul52
I can't really sound out Alanis Morisette in terms of size. To me, she's a low-end arena seller these days, but then she seems to get robust sales in certain markets here and there.
gfa
Lytham getting muse would likely be a LN combo deal but it doesn't seem like they are popping up anywhere else. Maybe they will do a stadium or something too

Not that I'm sure where in the UK they could fit given others I assumed they would do are taken. Maybe BST Hyde Park given they've never done it before, though feel like BST HP is running out of slots and rumours are they might have things like Sabrina Carpenter still to announce. Least if Suprefan is to be believed.

Least if Suprefan is to be believed. Yeah, I do feel like they will be doing a festival tour next year as a bit of a buffer while the new album is being finalized. Like what they did after the Drones Tour 2016 when they played Reading / Leeds 2017. Also announcing the Shepherds Bush gig as a warm up before Reading. I would hope they would do a Reading or Glasto. At the end of the day Muse are well within houseold name status. Their never going to be a surport and only going to be a headliner. Sure they are not in the peak of their career where they were all over the radio but i do feel they still have ability to sell out wherever they want. Simulation Theory 2019 was one of the most phenomenal productions I have ever seen for a show and thats what is so iconic with the band. I honestly dont know what the future holds for Muse as theres no real routines to their shows and tours. I feel this new album would have to be an upgrade from WOTP and ST. Never going to see Muse have a downfall. And no matter what, they always sell tickets no matter how sh*t people claim they are.
NorthernSoul52
I could see them do another up-close-and-intimate tour early next year, then a handful of festival-branded shows in the summer - TRNSMT, Lytham, something in London. But as we say, slots are being filled and places are running out.

Tbf one of my favourite times seeing them was the Psycho Tour in 2015 when it was at the sub-3k Brighton Dome rather than one of their usual enormodomes. So they do have a precedent of doing it. Either that or could just well be that they're doing random one-offs. Think in 2018 they just did RaR/RiP and Lisbon Rock in Rio and that was it for Europe that year. charlierc
Well Muse have just been announced for an event called Rockfest in Finland on June 14th. So I guess added to the Norway show, it's further proof festivals seems to be what they're up to.
