Saw those two acts on the very same bill in Perth last year while I was abroad. Was actually a very fun show, and given they've just run arenas together in November, can see this being a quick sell.

Deftones is a corking get, especially given the sales on Crystal Palace. Was that a 20,000 or 25,000-capacity gig?

 

Either way, holding out to confirm them after Weezer is a bit strange. Wonder who made the call there at C&T.

Got me thinking he would be a great fit. Think it's eight years since he last did any UK shows or so?

Imagine it's going to sell out? But sales weren't as good as I thought for the co-headliner in Manchester.

 

Weezer appear to have sold out, which... surprises me. I thought you'd possibly still pick one up for it in the run-up.

I think it will, only because it's a lovely venue and I think people sort of migrate towards it for a unique experience for bands they like (if that makes sense)?

 

The Manchester co-head show was firmly on my radar until it ended up being around £100 a ticket. But for £50 to see SP when I last saw them in 2019, with White Lies (one of my wife's favourite bands as support) it all comes together quite nicely for me.
