I was aware of them but hadn't appreciated how popular they have become.

The Piece Hall really does have a lovely surround internally - Halifax town, not so much - and the acoustics are pretty good to boot.

Shame the venue has been plastered with TK MAXX logos so everywhere you look you can see that rather than the venue.

I must say, were they not touring together next year, would have expected Busted to follow McFly and pop up here next year. Probably not the case now - they'll want to keep their powder dry for the big one, unless sales are terrific.

Elbow have just announced a few dates. Wouldn't be at all surprised if they do a few of the Cuffe and Taylor events, although possibly not this one, as York/Manchester already there

I've got to assume they won't be on here for that very reason, though must admit they did cross my mind as a likely candidate.

 

The Stranglers tapped up for a few other C&T events, but having just done this one, you can safely rule them out.

 

If he's holding off dates while he has the proper tour to shift this autumn, Paul Weller seems the kind of shout that they might go for. He's had previous, in 2022.

Probably can rule out Blossoms, since C&T have just announced them for 3 other venues - Scarborough being the nearest, with Inhaler supporting that one. Also Derby and Delamere forest.

Yeah, them already going there on the tour this year made them unlikely at best.

 

Will be curious to see how they sell out there at the OAT.
