I think those dates look more like he’ll do EOTR (much as that makes me sad because his set was great last time he played)

He's just been announced for the Saturday of Moseley Folk here in Brum (unbelievably) for that weekend - guess he could do both festivals in one weekend quite easily.

I was hoping for UK tour - Glasto - Green Man - Ireland tour...

No regrets about not seeing idles though? I’m not an idles fan, hence watching FJM instead, however when their set started and the drums came pummelling over from far out, I felt some

FOMO.

also not a big idles fan (although i’ve got more into their last two albums) but i was banking on them coming back to headline at some point

Quite a few from last year's GM at EOTR. And confirms FJM is at EOTR.

Had been wondering if Greep would be at GM in 2025 - not sure if this makes him more or less likely?

Yeah I'm actually quite happy with this lineup as it rules out a lot of things that we've seen in the last few years at GM. I was very much hoping for Greep at GM so that's the only real bummer. The only crossovers are usually further down the lineup.

Shame about SVT, her new songs are sounding great.
Beth Gibbons just announced for Flow Festival the week before Green Man so hopefully that’s a good sign (and I think GM said they tried to book her last year)

Looking at Øya again, it does seem like Khruangbin, MJ Lenderman and Nilüfer Yanya are all quite likely for GM (I know others have said this before).

Only just seen We Out Here's first lineup announcement too - same weekend as GM. Probs too soon for Michael Kiwanuka to be back at GM having headlined in 2022.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nala Sinephro does GM, she was actually down for EOTR in 2022 and pulled out so you'd have thought if she's available around then she'd have been announced today. (Could still, of course, there's at least a couple of big slots likely to be filled)

Getting more excited about the line up now that some possible names are starting to appear.

TV on The Radio and Beth Gibbons seem very likely now. Maybe both will headline?

I’m also expecting Kneecap, Nilufer Yanya, MJ Lenderman, Nala Sinephro, Fat Dog, Ana Frango Electrico, Mannequin Pussy, Snow Strippers and Tristwych y Fenywod.

Maribou State are also around and might be a contender for an electronic headliner, having played GM a while back and seemingly (inexplicably) to have got very big recently.

As a potential “wow” booking, Autechre are playing Flow Festival the weekend before Green Man. However, I think their Manchester show this year was meant to be an UK exclusive for this year so maybe unlikely - not that GM would probably book them anyway…

I’m worried King Krule might be one of the headliners. He came on stage last year with Mount Kimbie obviously, and the GM team booked him for Park Stage last year and recently started following his new management team on Instagram…

I would be very happy with this, especially Ana Frango Electrico. Their album last year was one of my favs

This is interesting and would make me very happy.  They have played on same bill as Max Cooper and Actress recently, who've both previously played the far out late night slots...

A little disappointed Sharon Van Etten is a write off but she's a serial tourer so will likely see her around.

Aside from that, I'm also pretty happy with all bands everyone's currently floating. I'd be interested in where they'd place Kneecap if they booked them. They're co-headlining 2000trees, which is a little smaller than GM, and Wide Awake, which booked King Giz last year. .

TVOTR definitely has legs. The Friday London show with Khruangbin puts them in the mix for Saturday or Sunday.

Can't see Beth headlining mountain but a sub slot there as the sun goes would be wonderful. Especially if she treats us with a rendition of Roads.

When did Fontaines play GM? 2021? Saw them in Dublin Friday and they were absolutely amazing. Blew me away, and I've seen them a bunch of times before. They've hit a new level. No prospect of a second chance?

Not with the Cardiff Castle date I imagine, don’t tend to see an outdoor summer show in Cardiff and Green Man in the same year. Judging by how fast they sold Finsbury out they might even be too big now.
