Not if Reading have thrown money at it for an exclusive.  Glastonbury doesn't have similar wedge to throw around is a lot more reliant on goodwill and exposure.

Friends with Olivia Rodrigo so she may have got in her ear about it. But yeah if she's headlining R&L then she's more than likely not doing Glasto. Maybe Glasto get Sabrina instead of Chappell.

I'm going to Chappell to headline in 2027, I don't see Sabrina making headline and reckon her moment will go.

Does Chappell being announced for Primavera change the equation in any way? Or is it likely of her just doing two separate Euro runs, one of which being R&L if the talk in this thread is to be believed?

I think it's just further out which gives time in-between to do plans. I will say that quite often including last year with the exception of bumps etc, Primaveraa don't book Glastonbury headliners often, this will be a LDR case. Did Coachella, Hangout, Primavera Sound and I-Days then went back over for Boston and returned in August for RES and R&L amd I'm expecting similar.

I love her but any fest taking her on in a major slot is taking a bit of a risk after she developed a bit of a habit of cancelling shows at the last minute on this tour. Can understand why Glastonbury might be happy to let R&L have her this time and hope to grab her in 2027 if she’s still at the same level and has become a bit more reliable.

The powers-at-be got over 6 months to slap some sense into Chappell and make it clear she needs to stop acting like a main character syndrome brat, so I doubt that she's cancel any of next summer's shows.

I think that your choice of language that an artist is a brat that needs slapping could be improved

I think the people is that the people advising her are part of the issue and need changing by the label.

Ehhhhh ish. Obviously there’ll be some of that because she’s young and inexperienced but in general she very much seems in charge of her own career. It’s not an S Club 7 situation where everything is micromanaged for her. If she’s cancelling shows for silly reasons then that’s definitely on her.

Yes, and obviously if people have legitimate health concerns then that rightly has to be accommodated. It’s the shows she cancelled to “rehearse for the VMAs” that were a more worrying sign about her priorities.

Caught me by surprise tbf. I didn't think the VMAs were still that big a deal that they were worth cancelling shows for. It was similar when Maneskin did that as well, which was also a bit of a strange move.

It's a figure of speech, not advocating for actual violence here. And from videos I saw of her public antics, she's not doing herself any favors.

Perfectly describes my stepdaughter.  She is however 11 years old, so will hopefully grow out of it...
