I think that’s a simplistic argument. It should be possible for those on the left to disagree rather than have a uniform view. I think vitriol has been caused on both sides by trying to simplify a really complex discussion. This to me has fostered a nasty atmosphere resulting in vitriol both sides. I don’t personally agree with how JK Rowling has approached the topic at times, but neither do I think she should be defined on views on one subject.
The newest Sharon Van Etten (& the Attachment Theory) album is great. Carries on with the trajectory of her last 2 albums, moving away from her folkier roots and into more indie/synth pop territory. Synths are sounding cool though. I can hear New Order, The Horrors and maybe a bit of Wolf Alice in there. She's got a beautiful voice, and the lyrics are personal with a bit of social commentary. Very nice moody music that i'll definitely be revisiting as always with SVE.
I know 2 people independent from each other who paid for advance queue positions . I’d say it’s fairly small at the moment but will only grow and the people doing it will inflate the prices next time
I think even on here I’ve seen people saying £500 wouldn’t cause them to think twice for a guarantee.
Even putting ticket prices to one side, there’s more glamping options than ever before all charging big surpluses ontop of the ticket prices, that show there’s no shortage of wealthy people wanted to attend.
The ticket situation 100% needs sorting out, but I don’t have the solutions right now, or any actual data on how much of a problem the exploits actually cause and how much is just anecdotal ‘my mate bought 50 tickets’ stories
