I work/volunteer at the festival now, with some very, very lovely people. My days of scruming for tickets are over. I'm so glad I did find a way to obtain a ticket for all those years though. Get in....

I’ve got priority status from working Glasto and Wilderness this year and from 7 fests in 7 years so I’m pretty much guaranteed to be back!

It’s a nice feeling knowing that I don’t have to worry about ticket day although we will be trying to buy for non-working friends and hopefully that’ll work out.

I'll be there c- its confirmed but I may make this the last one in my current role - have to see after the festival. might be time to let new blood into the role having volunteered for all of them in the last 20 years  -  actually thinking about it I might step away after 2027

Hopefully presuming all Recycling Crew volunteers get invited back.

Same for me so should hopefully be OK.

Checked with Critical Waste For Glastonbury Recycling Crew who are recruited direct and got an email back, thankfully I am one of those people.

I should be sending out an introductory email soon to everyone who is being invited to apply for 2025 (you are one of these people).
This email should go over the application process going forward.

We worked with GFEL last year, and I will be honest, I would rather do that again than go general population camping for it's perks BUT we still don't have any real confirmation.

While our team lead has been working the festival for near two decades, it's a completely different job so him saying "Don't worry" is not actually helping me not be nervous about it 😄

GFELs site has also been offline for months, which I assume is normal, but I don't even know if our work history has been recorded properly...

The GFEL website is always offline now. Normally starts up again in the new year. I’ve never had any problems with my work history being there when it does start up.
I used to find it frustrating but now just accept that that’s the way it’s done and experience has told me that it’s nothing to be nervous about. Probably doesn’t help you until you’ve experienced it yourself for a few years

Hi  I have volunteered with GFEL now for 20 years (14 as  volunteer supervisor and 5 as volunteer supervisor and team leader). the website is always nown about now and will spark up again early in new year.  Work history and training has always been up to date. I can;t speak for everyone/everyarea but I can say that where I work the priory is always given to those who have worked previously. For my team everyone knows the order is people who worked last year 1st, then if one of them drop out people who have been part of the team previously. after that its sort of family of team members or close personal friends) v=never had to dip outside that pool.  I would say as long as you turned up did your thing with a smile you are pretty safe - good luck
