The Cribs Playing Saturday Woodsies

Hi guys,

Long time lurker first time poster.

Joined up as I for once have info to contribute to the circus on here after lurking for about 15 years.

Met Ryan Jarman in the pub last night and ended up chatting to him for a while as I know him from my time on The Cribs forum when I saw them 44 times, so there was some familiarity there.

Asked him about Glastonbury as we were chatting about them playing The Maccabees date at All Points East. He said they’re playing Saturday afternoon on Woodsies and are super excited about it as it’s their first appearance since they played early Other Stage 10 years prior (what a show by the way).

Other acts he mentioned playing (so I’m assuming part of the same running order as The Cribs on Saturday Woodsies? Not sure) were The Wombats, Blossoms and Beth Gibbons from Portishead (not Geoff Barrow from Portishead, I clarified this as I didn’t know Beth Gibbons had a solo career).  I don’t remember the whole context of it but wondered if maybe that would be the top 4 running order for the stage, as it feels about right size-wise and I know the Woodsies stage recently has had quite a few of those mid-00s indie nostalgia acts around that slot (Editors, The Courteeners, The Vaccines, etc.).

Anyway, apologies that my memory is a bit hazy as I was seeing The Cure (wish these would come back to headline again but I doubt it) in London and had been on the sesh for a while at this point, and obviously Glastonbury was only a brief detour in the conversation.

Cheers guys and welcome to the forum.

Fantastic news.

The Cribs were the first band I ever saw at Glastonbury, back in 2007.

Haven’t seen them since so happy they’ve playing Woodsies.
