Official Reading & Leeds 2026

Presumably we can all look back on these guesses this time next year and laugh.

I just had a look at an R&L 25 prediction thread set up last year after the '24 announcement. Bring Me The Horizon were in one or two guesses but pretty much all of our other guesses were off.

Admittedly I don't think anyone saw Hozier and Chappell Roan's shoot up the festival booking ranks coming.

They tend to have an on/off/on again series of lineups given touring schedules...

I think they will go for a 5 headliner set (2 co-heads) and try to play it off like we're close to 2023 levels.

Linkin Park or Foo Fighters will be there, and I'm leanin' Linkin.

Big rap act will be Tyler the Creator off the back of his worldwide tour and hit album. I'd have said Kendrick but he's the biggest in the world right now.

He will co-head with an alt-rock like Twenty-one Pilots.

The indie headliner will be Sam Fender, again off the back of a huge tour for his next hit album. He will co-head with a dance act like Chase & Status.

Subs will be Fontaines DC, Little Simz, Idles.

Sam Fender / Chase & Status >> Idles

Tyler the Creator / Twentyone Pilots >> Little Simz

Linkin Park >> Fontaines DC

Totally missed Tyler out of my prediction. I think he’ll be more likely than Kendrick.

Can’t see Fontaines and Charli doing it unless they have new material out. 2026 would be their third summer touring each of their albums.

Yeah I know what you mean with Charli but think they’ll want a female headliner so think she’d fit best unless Sabrina does it so could be her instead but not sure if Sabrina fits R&L as much as Charli does.

Can see R&L striking whilst the iron is hot with Fontaines and there big shows this year, defo big enough and this album has done wonders for them. To be fair the album came out at the end of summer this year so could easily get another year out of it. The demand is clearly there.

I agree re Fontaines, they will definitely be up for booking them even though the albums a bit old now.

R&L 2026 is a long way away, they could easily have singles coming out from whatevers next by summer 2026.

Co-heads possibly. Selling 45,000 tickets in London or MK is very different to shifting 80,000 in Bramham park at 2-3x the cost

They could of course be wildly more popular this time next year, its unlikely though

More just meant they were neck and neck size wise

They would work well as co-heads

And you can. At BST Hyde Park.

Though I imagine a new LP could get her back around in 2026 if she's got the songs in the bank.

Nah, been there once. Awful sound quality. It's worse than the Other Stage at Glastonbury, and that's saying something.

... yeah that's a fair shout. Went twice in 2017 and remember not being impressed by the sound there at all. Same with All Points East, even if some have said it's improved on the Strokes 2019 edition that was recognised as a bit of a nadir.

Charli XCX

Foo Fighters

Olivia Rodrigo

Yungblud

Wolf Alice

Lewis Capaldi

That would be sound.

Feel like we're still waiting on news of what they're up to tbf. There was a rumour of Wolf Alice returning with an APE show in the All Points East thread but nothing yet.

Yungblud feels like he's just gonna turn up at his own MK festival from here on out at this rate.
