Charli XCX

Foo Fighters

Olivia Rodrigo

Yungblud

Wolf Alice

Lewis Capaldi

That would be sound.

Expand

I doubt Lewis Capaldi will be back on the circuit anytime soon honestly

Charli would need a big album to get that slot i think - she only has two uk dates announced and the APE day is not really doing main stage headliners - its on tier 3 and there's probably like 5 tiers. Should be selling out straight away i think given the location and year shes had

Not sure wolf alice will be at that level either. I think they have reached their peak with their current sound

Tyler The Creator - Fontaines DC (sub)

Charli XCX / Chase and Status

Linkin Park / 21 Pilots

Would be sensational

Expand

21 Pilot are 100% a bigger seller here than Charli. Possibly Tyler too

Not sure why Fontaines are subbing either - their Finsbury show has sold better than Charli's Lido day too!

I guess Foo Fighters' situation depends on how long a break they feel like they need. Or maybe they have decided to say to people whose festivals they cancelled on for 2025 to go again in 2026. We're not privvy to these negotiations I guess.

I'm not convinced one bit by Central Cee.

Lets see how this arena tour does I guess - I think O-Rod and Foos would do most of the heavy lifting but would be nice to aim for a slightly better rapper!

Central Cee is the 3rd Boardmasters headliner.

No idea where the money has gone after the past few years with them booking Raye, Prodigy and Central Cee!

Would say that suggests he's not a Reading headliner - definitely not outright anyway

Both Stormzy and Fender headlined last year so I wouldn't say it completely rules him out of contention. Even though this years line up is a lot weaker

Does seem to increasingly sound like something you either headline on the way up to Reading/Leeds or when you're no longer big enough to do it.

I think he is absolute bum but if he sells that tour out (which he will, probably on the first day of sale), Central Cee is of course a headliner option. That鈥檚 without extra dates which, going by the dates, they鈥檝e left room for. I don鈥檛 get it at all but he鈥檚 about as zeitgeist an act as you can get.

This analogy makes no sense for Sam Fender!

Yeah i noticed how much extra dates room there is - do wonder how many there will be. It seems optimistic theres like 4-5 days between each show at the moment!

Sure - but plenty of Boardmasters headliners haven't e.g. Jorja Smith who did the 3rd stage headline at R&L this year!

Stormzy is a weird one though - think he dropped off a lot selling power wise and it was never really that high to begin with! He is never fantastic for high level comparisons.
