What’s new for 2025?

I don't think there will be many changes next year, maybe save the big stuff for coming back after the fallow.

It will be interesting to see if they do anything with Steanbow Farm, which it's been reported they have bought. Indoor camping in the chicken shed, anyone?

Yes I’ve heard that too. Maybe icon will be replaced?

IICON is in Block 9 and isn’t going anywhere for the foreseeable!

Interesting. The farm must be just about fully used by the festival already? Nothing on their website, which for a farm looks pretty corporate: https://www.steanbowfarms.com/

In September 2024, we took the very difficult decision to disperse our Steanbow Park Farm dairy herd. There were many factors which resulted in the difficult decision to disperse the herd, but ultimately the need to simplify a diverse mixed farming business couldn’t be ignored.” Sounds like part of the farm was sold rather than it all. They still seem to claim the chicken sheds under their own management. Perhaps it was land that was sold?

I’m going mad, of course it is. But what makes you think it’ll stay for a while?

It's only existed for 4 festivals. Just the cost of replacing it with something (of that scale) brand new so soon is probably an inhibitor.

It’s also arguably the best looking stage on site.

No reactions left but getting rid of iicon would be a travesty. It's only 4 festivals old!

Definitely wouldn’t help with the overcrowding issues either. They surely need to spend their money on more stages with decent capacities that can run at night, not on revamping the ones that already do the job.

What changes can we expect in 2025? 2024 saw the introduction on the dragonfly and changes to campsites etc.

I think most big changes to the site will be introduced after the fallow year to be honest but it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect more changes to Arcadia and the Dragonfly as they do try to evolve each festival.

Was it the land that was sold off or just all the machinery? There was a thread on here about it somewhere I think but I can't remember what the outcome was.

I seem to remember last year there was talk of them continuing to add to venues around Williams Green for 2025. Terminal 1 was new last year but didn’t manage to visit. Did anyone make it there?

They should put a big tent up somewhere round here and use it for music on the Thursday. They could call it Williams Green or something.

I read somewhere that they'd sold the whole thing to the Eavii but from @William Mann's post, it looks like that was dodgy info.

For what it's worth, the Land Registry don't have any sale transactions listed for any of that land since 2017. Though admittedly they can be slow updating so probably wouldn't have anything that took place in the 4-6 weeks or so.

Steanbow definitely hasn’t been bought in any way, shape or form.

Maybe they sold the dairy herd or machinery to Eavis farm and chinese whispers took hold?

There's a brief mention of Glastonbury on their diversification page, but that's been there a while.

It’s amazing. Totally the best stage in whole festival. Helps if you have Bicep on and you’re down at the front under the glare of the lights… but not only them of course… where was I?

There’s other stages at Glastonbury have managed to maintain their shape and identity for a lot longer and may be due a change? How about a sphere instead of a pyramid?

The machinery rings a bell and was definitely mentioned last time we talked about it I'm sure. I'll see if I can find that old thread.
