Spinal Tap 2009

Anyone else have fond memories of this? It came as a complete surprise to me to find them on the bill, and I felt very lucky to have seen the greatest band in history. Rock and roll!!!

It felt like quite a lot of people just weren't bothered to me. Not the best atmosphere where I was stood.

Me and my band were playing on the bandstand at the same time, so we bleedin’ missed it. 
 

Can’t really complain but would have loved it

Yep thoroughly enjoyed it.

 

A bit of related trivia. When Spinal Tap performed at Glastonbury the BBC broadcast the gig. In honour of Spinal Tap they increased the maximum volume setting on the BBC iPlayer from 10 to 11. It remains at 11 to this day. 

Yes, really. Check it out. Love it!

Here's my cue to say that in honour of Harry Shearer wearing a Shrewsbury Town shirt in the film, there is a banner at Shrewsbury Town saying "turn it up to 11".

 

p.s. Just got to mention that we beat Birmingham today 3-2 which was completely unexpected as we were bottom of the league and Brum were 22 points above us.  Brilliant game.  

 

And Chelsea won - good day!

I just assumed one of the app developers was a fan, hence why it went up to 11. Didn't realise it was from the broadcast of the gig.
