Having staunchly been in support of The 1975 as a headliner, had a crisis of confidence on them being there after I went to bed last night though.
When was the last time an artist basically came in to headline without a wider run? I'm guessing probably Kendrick - Glastonbury was only his third show proper since 2019, and just the second of 2022, having played Milan three days prior.
It can be done, clearly. But starting to think we might have heard other plans for shows if that's the case. (Big Weekend and BST being two credible shouts, perhaps.)
Let's not wish that one into reality.
The funny thing is that if Sam Fender was - or is? - a headliner, then he's primed there to be the special guest for Homesick.
