Bowl is 65k so will probably feel like a fair bit of empty space tbh.

 

Although the venue seems to be getting reduced capacity things. Was told Yungblud's event - one that The Damned also played - was limited to about 30k, while I think the Reggae festival they have there is similarly limited. Plus Chase & Status themselves declared 45,000 were there at a show that I believe sold out.

Probably smaller ones TBF, but some of the lower down names on the Cruel World poster were household names here in the 80s... Blancmange, Midge Ure, Buzzcocks, Stereo MCs...

Brilliant lineup and packed with names I love, when i first saw it I was 100% wanting to go and worrying about clashes.

 

However, after thinking about it and factoring in travel, hotel costs and needing at least Monday morning off work I will probably reluctantly give it a miss. The main groups I love like The Damned, The Cult and Psychedlic Furs have been easy to see in London in recent years as has most of the lineup apart from maybe Kraftwerk.

 

If this was in London, i would be all over it.

An odd choice, very Pop/MOR. Plenty of other good stuff though. It will come down to GA ticket price for me.

Scrap all that, my partner pointed out there is a festival packed with bands you love, that you drag me to all the time and you don't want to go? Are you sure you don't want to go? 

 

I was trying so hard to save money on concerts next year, which is not going well. Anyway my partner knows what's best for me, so hotel booked and signed up for pre-sale.
