Talcroft
Gotta take it when you can get it when the algorithms do that to you! The sort of act I wouldn't have dreamed of seeing when she was new (indie sleaze youth) but now would very much enjoy pretending I was there first time around. GhostOfMaurice
Natasha would be a solid booking, and I'd definitely consider seeing her.
NorthernSoul52
I don't think she'd outgun Avril, and plenty depends who she plays against. But a very solid Other booking.
Badlands
Being closer to 50 than 40, and having seen Lavignes and Janelle’s crowds this year on tv, I don’t feel confident predicting anything anymore.
NorthernSoul52
There were a few shockingly disproportionate crowds. My prediction - if Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds do play, it'll be smaller than we think.

I'd expect her more early pyramid ala Rick Astley this year. Thing with avril is she was hardly touring at all, for around a decade too. Natasha has been everywhere recently / in recent years. I'd 100% be at natasha clashes permitting, avril really was the perfect storm as she was against nothing of much draw
NorthernSoul52
Yeah, there was a bit of a rarity factor in that one.
Ebibibi
For what it's worth I'm going as a group of 12 with an age range of 28-33 and absolutely none of us plan to see Rod Stewert. Compard to most of us seeing Elton previously. I think the older crowd have a warped perception on Rod's popularity Edited December 1 by Ebibibi

Elbow are popular on here, out there less so. Same goes for Neil Young and I expect to be slated for saying that LOL Anywho, crowd sizes, they will be big, small, bigger, smaller and personally speaking when I am in a crowd I am watching the artist, listening to the music, singing and dancing and not looking around to try and work out how big the crowd might be. Maybe I am weird like that, who knows. I like to get a clipboard and calculator out to work out the crowd size
henry bear
I’ve given up predicting crowd sizes after Craig David and Rag n Bone Man packed out the Pyramid and Other respectively in 2017.

Just had a look at some stats as I thought maybe my 44 year old perception might be a bit warped! Like a lot of us, my early musical interests were shaped by my parents and my mum is a bit of a Rod fan, so it resonates with me - his hits bring back family memories for me so I'm keen to see him. Anyway, he's had 10 UK number 1 albums and 31 UK top ten hits. And the new metric of monthly Spotify listeners comes in at 12 million. Active for 6 decades, he has the vital stats to be eligible for the slot really. I guess we'll just have to wait and see his popularity with the Glasto crowd, but I expect it's in the same region as DiRo.

Rod is a bit more chilled background music vibes for me. This is translates to really high listens on Spotify, same as SZA. Popular on paper from passive listening but I wouldn’t see them live unless there was absolutely nothing else on. 1
giantkatestacks
The likelihood of guests is another thing that might sway it for me. So: 1. Is it last chance saloon territory 2. Is there good guest potential 3. Are they a rare sighting generally 4. Have I seen them before

Monty Pythagoras
Probably Rod just because people feeling obliged to see the "Legend Slot." Can't see any of the 3 main headliners getting anything outrageous. Would imagine if Pulp rock up it'll be them, or a "Churnups" style band. Pipine
I really don’t understand the predictions of Rod having a huge crowd.. I’m 51 and I have no childhood memories of thinking he was anything other than cringe. I associate him with the Kenny Everett skit where his leopard print pants inflated and he floated off to the ceiling while singing Do You Think I’m Sexy. 😂
CaledonianGonzo
Probably why there'll be a lot of folk re-using their Shania leopardskin from this year.
