Announcement tomorrow at 11am. Extra day confirmed for August 20th.

Usually reserved for someone big. Any ideas?

Looking at Leeds/Reading I'm guessing its Chappell

Would make sense to me, enough to get 40k through the gates. Though Rock en Seine have pulled out a few blinders in their time.

And selfishly its my birthday on that date so I hope it isn't.

Billie Eilish & LDR both did the extra day for RES and both went on to play R&L

I'd put my house on it being Chappell Roan

Confirmed Chappell with London Grammar, Suki Waterhouse and Luvcat so far.

anyone got any indication on what acts will play the other 4 days? need a glastonbury alternative and am banking on a good lineup for this

No inside info but there is always overlap with other late summer festivals, so a quick look round at who has been announced so far would make some of these possible:

Caribou, Father John Misty, Sharon van Etten, BCNR, Ela Minus, Geordie Greep, Mount Kimbie, Throwing Muses, Khruangbin, Fontaines DC, Kneecap, MJ Lenderman, Nilufer Yanya, Beth Gibbons, Barry Can’t Swim, Franz Fredinand, Lambrini Girls, Fat Dog, Avalon Emerson, Bicep, Raye, The Maccabees, Bombay Bicycle Club

But as the late summer festivals seem slow to announce, it feels there are some big names still to finalise their plans so headliners are difficult to predict.

They'll probably get some of the Reading & Leeds line up on the Thursday.

Any general tips for this festival? Would staying in Monmartre be a mental idea or would it be better to stay somewhere closer? I've heard there's been issues exiting the festival in the past

Been twice out the last 3 years. Its a bit hard work getting out but we get a night bus back to our regular hotel. Goes every 15 mins or so. Wouldnt know about the Metro Im afraid.

Look around the Bolougne-Billancourt area.  Several hotels, affordable, walkable to and from the festival site (its quite a walk, but doable and quite direct) and near a metro line. Lots of food options in the area too.

I've stayed there the last two years and will aim to do so again if I go next year.

(And for a very specific tip, there is a Vietnamese restaurant on the other side of the bridge which does a brisk trade serving pints to festival goers from a mobile bar outside the restaurant, as well as reasonably priced food inside).

stayed at the ibis this year, a bit of a walk when you get there (unfortunately too long for one beer but not long enough for two) but only a short walk through the maintage exit afterwards

Metro 10 gets you to the nearest metro station. There is then a tram which goes 1 or 2 short stops getting you near the festival entrance.

Aside from buses, this is the best connection from the centre to the site and, as it is a hike, I'd recommend staying somewhere along that metro line.

I found it a bit of a mess last year (think my thoughts are in the 2024 thread) and that was even staying close to the festival.
