Also, your name in that podcast, athesnia or whatever it is, have you been named by that on the download forum for a long time as its a name I remember many years ago when I frequented it, like 11/12 years back.

I wonder how well or bad The Damned went down last year? I remember reading something last year where Yungblud said that the "Icon Slot" was going to be a thing every year. I am not spotting any icons on the 2024 line up.

 

If it was closer, I would have gone last year for Yungblud, Softplay and The Damned. Showing my age the 2024 looks rubbish to me. Although, if I can pick up a cheap NHS ticket I would be up for turning up late after checking in to my hotel and watching Yungblud and checking out the venue in preparation for the Sunday.

Yeah, I’ve been called it on there since I joined. Probably about 11 years ago, ish.

He's said in an NME interview that the Icon Slot artist will be announced soon + he's already got the 2026 Icon Slot artist locked in too.

Thanks for the info, I wonder if Frank & The Sex Pistols tick that box. Obviously, not Frank but the Sex Pisols part of the collabation.

Yeah could be a good shout. Also wouldn’t be surprised to see Placebo or Smashing Pumpkins as I know he gets on and likes both acts. Wouldn’t surprise me if 26 was The Cure.

Agree that Frank & Sex Pistols is a good shout - Yungblud came on for a song at a show a few months back.

They could play and headline it. They’re friends too and YB has sampled one of The Cures songs, not often he’d agree to that I’d imagine so defo a chance. 2026 also going international so probs won’t be the UK date if they still do a UK date.
