Are you worried about wood smoke?

It's been all over the news lately. Wood smoke from stoves is really harmful. What does this mean for the festival? Will it have to ban wood fires? It seems to be the new environmental topic. How will continuing to burn wood fit with the festivals eco image?

Have you not read about wood burners? Google it. People are seriously starting to take issue with wood smoke. Apparently it causes harmful particles etc.

I don't like the idea of not having wood fires either but this is a real thing.

 

Here's a recent screenshot from the BBC. There are children and people with health issues at Glasto. If it applies to open fires at Christmas the same argument is going to apply to festivals. Glasto doesn't tend to go against the grain on these kinds of issues. Look how quickly they banned disposable vapes.

But I've never seen chestnuts being roasted over an open fire at Glastonbury. Maybe that's a contributing factor.
