Bloody brilliant!  Not what we were expecting the story to be but they smashed it.   

The character development across G&S is so deep for a comedy like this - the viewers really feel they know the people and their quirks.  

 

It's such a marmite show - people who don't know the characters or haven't watched previously thought tonight's episode was a pile of shite, but if you've been waiting for this, I don't think you would be disappointed.

Yeah, I really enjoyed it. A predictable cliche ending, but I think that's what you need at the end of a weary Christmas.

Yeah it was a show that never really landed with me. I was out of the country when it was huge so it passed me by. 

 

I've seen the odd episode since, might have even seen a series, but never really got in to it and wasn't a part of everyone talking about it.

 

Thought what I saw was fine but that's about it.

I've been at mum's so have watched my first ever full episodes of Downton Abbey and Call the Midwife. 

Bloody hell, they really are tosh. Downton in particular felt almost like a parody of that type of show. I kept thinking of Acorn Antiques.
