Admittedly mine would've been an improvement if I hadn't caught yet another f**king cold.

Me too.. so annoying! 

 

And it seems like everyone is scared of colds these days.  I should've had a badge that said "NO, IT'S DEFINITELY NOT COVID"

I've had covid, flu and colds at various points tbf. All sh*t, just different shades of sh*t.

COVID seems irrelevant now. Nobody tests for it, so it might as well be a regular cold as far as anyone is concerned.

I found out last night that I had conjunctivitis in one eye. First thing this morning I found out that I had it in both eyes. It was, evidently, a BOGOF offer, and I bought into it in my sleep. Fortunately a friend was travelling from Birmingham to here, and was able to find an open chemist, and got me some antibiotic eye  drops.

 

I now feel like I've just played my best Top Trumps Ailment Card.

Yeah, when it's in one eye it's so contagious that the next eye is a given. It sucks.

I've never had it before, so it's all new to me. The drops are working though.

Give them two days to really work well. I’ve  a mate who’s a chemist (legit}, his shop is inundated at the moment. Because of the difficulties in seeing a doc his shop is like a casualty clearing ward. He’s really stressed and exhausted, scared he makes mistakes. Mainly bad chest infections, covid , flu and sick bugs. He also mentioned conjunctivitis seems rife.

He gets home, has a well deserved medicinal smoke, his dinner and off to bed

I am aware of the medicinal smoke. In fact, you'd think I was a hypochondriac given the amount of such smokes that I have gone through this Christmas.

 

I tell you what though - my neighbour has got some mentally high THC gummies. A packet of them was a Christmas present to myself. One has to be careful with them though, as if one were to eat a whole gummy, then in my expert opinion one might end up in a mental institution. Mind you this house in the last few days has been rather like being in a complete lock down mental health unit. 

 

Actually Ayrshire Chris, you may be able to assist in a very long standing query that I have. I have always wondered why it is that when you go into a chemist that they don't serve the shop customers first? Chemists are the only shops (that I can think of) which make you wait an inordinate amount of time. I mean, you don't get that treatment when you are buying a Mars from a newsagent. I'm sure that there is a reason. but just wondered what it was. Any chance you could ask your mate?

I know he’s got three queues, one for prescriptions, one for shop stuff and one for the methadone booth . He actually starts work at six in the morning so he can prepare prescriptions, especially filling blister daily dose packs. without being disturbed.

Sorry, I should have said that there was no urgency to answer the question. If truth be known I thought I had written that point down, but evidently I must have only thought 'I'll write that down' and not actually written it down. Well, I did tell you that I have been smoking heavily for all my ailments. I've now had a supersonic gummy, so expect total deterioration of the mind to kick in soon! ie. prepare for the possibility that I may return to the site later this evening and talk even more shite than I do normally. What I mean is 'It could be an almost biblical act that you may witness later.  Please do take the appropriate cautions and don your PPE equipment.

A lot of stuff going round, with very unusual symptoms. I feel like it's a lockdown hangover, with lots of viruses making a comeback in overly-mutated form.
