To be fair, the camera cutting to Jo Wiley singing Fix You in her little enclosure felt like something that hasn't happened before and is probably something that shouldn't proliferate much further. -
Still don't see it as any more than a (very media savvy) band knowing how / choosing to make the best impression given the platform available to them. Probably yes also roping in the broadcaster to ensure things go well. 聽 Ultimately it's still an artistic choice, even if it's not the "pure" artistry that some would like.
