PDAD
This was spoken about briefly in the new music thread but a few years ago in the dark depths of lockdown, we had a thread each month where we ranked the best albums of the respective month. Naturally, without anything else to do, all of us had more time to spend consistently listening to new music back then. But either way, it was very useful at highlighting which albums people were enjoying and as such, which albums to check out throughout the year (rather than doing as I often do and wait for album of the year lists)... I'll add a link to the old thread with 'the rules' - but basically, post your 1st, 2nd and 3rd favourite albums of the month each month and I'll collate results. Deadline for entries is the first Thursday of the next month (so 23:59pm Thursday 6th Feb this time). Thinking I will keep it all to one thread this time to avoid cluttering the board but yeah, there you are!

Quark
I think there used to be a general consensus that albums released on the final day of the month can get swept up in the following month.

Quark
Don't think my top 2 will change, but FF may get nudged out of third by Maribou State or Brooke Combe

Spindles
1. Lambrini Girls - Who let the dogs out. Just a really strong collection of songs that do real justice to the catalogue of singles and EPs up til now. Looking forward to hearing those songs live. 2. Billy Nomates - Mary & The Hyenas OST New Billy and it's the soundtrack to a film I've never heard of? Of course it is.

PDAD
1) Jasmine.4.t - You Are The Morning 2) Mogwai - The Bad Fire 3) Anna B Savage - You And I Are Earth Really good month though and there's several others I nearly chose for 3rd that I can imagine will be right towards the top of my albums of the year once I've sat with them a bit more! mjtko
Well, I'm going to have to step up my game and listen to a bunch of the above which I haven't yet got round to! Will contribute mine in time for Thursday, though something is going to have to do a hell of a job to knock Blue Violet - Faux Animaux off my top spot. I have long found this forum to be the best source of new music recommendation around, so many thanks to everyone who shares the music they find and love. 1
