Littlechef87
Making it through the mud marathon that was 2016 and finding myself watching Charlotte Church at 1am Sunday night/Monday morning playing Nine Inch Nails. The kind of randomness that feels like you'd only find at Glasto. Going mental to the massive wig out towards the end of Paranoid Android at Radiohead 2017, slightly high with a massive bunch of mates, all equally hypnotized, then having to take ourselves off to the woods for some quiet time to let what we'd just experienced integrate. Being on the barrier for my absolute favourite band of all time, QOTSA, in a crowd of people that love them as much as I do since every other mug was at Elton. 2

PDAD
One moment that always makes me laugh... My friend a few years back was a long way in to a night on the disco biscuits and found himself in that classic predicament of needing to relieve himself but finding it quite a struggle... He had gone to the longdrops for a bit of focus time but after a while he was starting to get mildly frustrated and uttered something to the effect of 'FFS just let me go' to his bladder. Always a humbling moment. Anyway, next thing he heard from the longdrop along was "go on mate, you can do it" from a stranger. Gradually word spread. 5 minutes later, when he emerged from the longdrop victorious, there were around 20 random proud people celebrating with him and giving him a hero's welcome. SwedgeAntilles
First ones come to mind are All My Friends in 2016 at the Other. Somehow still finding the energy to party on the Sunday night despite the exhaustion and mud. Then there was the primal screaming at the end of I Know The End, Phoebe Bridgers in Woodies in 2022. Post-pandemic catharsis. Moments.

Spindles
Too many to mention, but I remembering struggling through the mud and rain of the first few days of 2011 on crutches and then this sense of contentment on the Saturday night when the sun had come out and the ground had firmed up, watching Coldplay with my kids. It had been a sh*t year overall up til then, and getting onsite and set up damn near killed us but that moment, stood on a hill with thousands of strangers and the 2 people I love most in the world, the sun setting in that glorious way that the sky saves up for us to enjoy a few nights of the year. Coldplay have saved my ass at Glastonbury a few times now, in 2000 we got set upon and one friend badly f**ked up by a bunch of miscreants on the Saturday night, which saw us leaving early Sunday as said friend was the designated driver. I persuaded them to stay at least until I could catch Coldplay that afternoon and after the previous night's violence it was nice to at least leave on a high note, with a few drinks and smokes in the sun enjoyed before 7 of us and kit tried to squeeze into the back of a fiesta van for the sweaty and uncomfortable journey home. 1
Ayrshire Chris
Loads of incredible memories but I remember late one morning seeing Billy Bragg do a few songs in a tent in green futures. Think it was2019. He introduced another young singer then sat on the ground behind the tent. I summoned up some courage and just said to him I was a Fan, expecting just a wave but He told me and Mrs c to sit down and we had a great chat for around 20 mins about getting old, the festival and a lot of politics. I said my thanks, and so there was three oldies sitting on the grass and just about able to summon the strength to stand up, bones creaking😊😉
TheBoz
A few off the top of my head... That hour or so before the Stones came on in 2013, right down the front in the pit Absolutley electric atmosphere. And then the Stones smashed it. Coldplay covering Viola Beach in their 2016 set. Tears streaming. Seventeen Going Under in 2022 as the sun was going down on an incredible first day of music back after 3 years

Expand Hello Spindles, It is, to my reckoning, a tribute to your good nature that you were able to choose to follow the 'light' - as opposed to the shite! He's a DJ also (and a doctor) and had nowhere to party. So loads of people came up from London, i got the Birmingham mob involved and it was a full house (it was a big house too). well, the mayhem that took place while the walls almost shook with the sound of the music.
