My recommendations are: (ignoring top of garden/big top stages - they're all damn good)

Twlight sad - can't believe they're on at 1am monday morning - but well worth staying up for.

Willard Grant Conspiracy - Like Nick Cave fronting Sigur Ros when i saw them last.

Sunny Day Sets Fire - Almost as much fun as I'm From Barcelona

I'm From Barcelona - like The Polyphonic Spree only happier and madder

Malcolm Middleton - Proof positive that miserable people can be uplifting too

Pete & the Pirates - Just damn fine.

Hush the Many - one of my highlights of last year, like a slightly folky, very cute (well i thought the women were and was reliably informed the blokes were too) Pink Floyd

David Thomas Broughton - errrr, I cannot describe him but he HAS to be heard, all hail the singing vegetables.

Misty's Big Adventure - more instument-swapping lunacy with great tunes

Also Reigns, Fireworks Night, Actress Hands and Wave Pictures have caught me ear of the unsigned bands.

Now Yo La Tengo or Giant Sand???........Super Furries or British Sea Power????..........I think Giant Sand and BSP but it's really difficult............there will always be Lambchop!!!!

As a festival veteran I can assure you that this one is very, very good. Beautiful/intimate setting, friendly staff, none of the queuing for beer tokens bollox, great lineup of bands/artists. Clearly run by people who know and love festivals - I can't wait.

Am going through all the bands, and investigating all that I don't know, to see who I should see and happily miss.

Am glad to see Loney, Dear and I'm From Barcelona on right next to each other on the Garden Stage. Although I've just discovered Slow Club, who will be on during Loney, Dear/IFB-waiting time, so am sad I'll be missing them.

Reigns are another good new discovery, and they have an album for £1.99 on play.com which I have happily ordered now. & Seventeen Evergreen, Sons of Noel & Adrien seem to be the other new bands I've not heard of that I will hopefully like.

Glad to see that the Young Republic will be on more than once (3 times?!), although their third time will be clashing with Paris Motel, so I'm not sure what I'll do there.

and Jens Lekman, Misty's Big Adventure and Jeffrey Lewis are my other must sees.

Still got some more to investigate by the powers of myspace (when it decides it is happy working properly of course)...

Hefner have, technically, already reformed, when they played Radio 1's first Peel Day. I'm guessing this is going to be one of those unscheduled performances around the grounds.

Metcheck currently says possibility of light showers on Friday, otherwise dry but not warm, and a heavy rainstorm coming Monday morning which might yet close in on the weekend (or disappear - probably best to check next on Thursday)
