Wonder if they've ever considered making Kendal bigger, or even Y Not. Those 2 sites might just be able to take the extra capacity. Truck is south I think.
TBF, I'd just be happy to see a bit more diversity in the bookings for the northern festivals in this group.
I think for instance to sell the combis now they’ll have to add lots of Pop/Indie/dance to the Thursday and then Indie/Rock/Dance to the Sunday. I can see Friday and Saturday just being filled with more generic stuff like the leak for Franz and Weezer show I guess.
They’ve clearly made the decision to make those 2 days specifically for an audience as they’re normally the hardest to sell.
If they continue down this path, it will definitely mean that they will focus more on selling day tickets rather than combos. Things can change before the final line-up is released, but right now the difference between Thursday and Sunday are so severe that you won't find many people embracing both. I'll give them this last chance, as I've already bought tickets, but if the divide continue to grow before the final line-up is revealed, I unfortunately think this will be my last addition. Hopefully there will be a lot of good undercards that can create some more diversion in terms of genres, but looking back at last year I'm not convinced.
