LusciousLucy
Caesium is a soft, silver-white, metallic element with atomic number 55. It is a very reactive element, exploding on contact with water and reacting instantly with air. It is also one of the most dangerous waste products of the nuclear industry. Ain't I clever eh??? Back to 'Learning with Lucy' whilst we countdown to Glastonbury.

LusciousLucy
About NGC 55: NGC 55 is an irregular galaxy that may be an edge-on spiral galaxy. It is similar to the Large Magellanic Cloud, a companion to the Milky Way. Both NGC 55 and the LMC are only visible in the southern sky. NGC 55 is a relatively nearby galaxy, at a distance of about five million light years. It resides in a small gathering of galaxies known as the Sculptor Group. The red nebulosities are regions of active star formation in the galaxy. The distorted structure in NGC 55 is likely the result of stellar winds and supernova explosions by hot, massive stars within the galaxy. Ooooooooohhhh......preeeeettttttyyyyyyyyyyyy! dirtyepic
typically bad uk police series set in the lovely toon and surrounding areas!! Now I must find a picture of the block of flats (erm I mean luxury apartments), that this series is surely named after, situated in Newcastle straight off the Tyne Bridge. ON A ROUNDABOUT!!! yes, one of the busiest roundabouts in the city centre. I shall endeavour to find a picture for anyone who may be interested!!! dirtyepic
"55 Degrees North is a strange mix of grey slate, stainless steel and pink concrete in the middle of a roundabout in Newcastle. Formerly used as BT offices, the building is now home to luxury apartments." Ooh and I forgot, for the price you pay for your luxury apartment on a busy roundabout, where I can imagine its not the best idea to open your windows, its got a nice noisy bar/nightclub on the ground floor. Yes thats right, a bar on a roundabout in Newcastle!!! I'd rather be in me tent, in the middle of a very busy field in Somerset!!!
