bowlingo
Hi all, Im wondering what the odds are of me and the wife going on the Sunday afternoon without tickets and getting in via paying at the gate or a tout? Ive heard people in the past have been able to pay to get in on the day? Thanks Alex
pc18568
Paying on the gate no chance. Possible off a tout, but since the Stones are playing I doubt there'll be that many cheap tickets on Sunday.
Mainland source
Can give the old climbing over the fence a go especially in the camping areas then try to get in from there but obviosuly very dodgey but i doubt you wont be the only ones trying that. Kris W
Your best bet will be touts. Getting into the campsite is no good because security check your wristbands before you go into the arena. The security looks a lot tighter this year, theyve put a big fence in the arena to stop people getting in along Fairlee road. I dont think its ever been there before. bowlingo
Thanks for the replys, I could always buy 2 x tickets from Ebay at around £300 for less than half a day but with Glasto the week after its a bit expensive lol. Im assuming touts will buy wristbands etc from people that leave on the Sunday for whatever reason? So you only have to have a wristband on or do you have to also produce a ticket stub when going in and out the gates etc? Thanks Alex
manda
There will also be lots of people trying to get in on the Sunday so the touts may well have sold most of their tickets alot earlier this year, would make more sense to try and go over friday or saturday and get the tickets early even if you don't want to actually see any of the bands those days. You'll have to buy a weekend ticket either way as they don't do day tickets anymore.

russellelly
You can always watch from next to the river that runs right next to the arena with a handy hill next to it if you can't get a ticket.
bowlingo
Hi again, If I turn up and am lucky to get 2 x wristbands from a tout of which ill probably have to glue back together im wondering if the wristband alone is enough to get back in or if you have to produce a ticket stub or similar as well? From what I can gather theres a few different types of wristbands i.e entrance, camping VIP etc im wondering if when camping you get 1 x wristband which allows you to access the camp site and main arena or if you get 1 for the main arena and 1 for camping? And if you have non camping tickets you get an arena band only which will be the same as the people who are camping have? What im worried about is for some A hole tout to sell me say a camping only wristband or being sold a band which ill need a ticket stub to produce also? Im assuming nobody will know what the colours of the bands are going to be so unless they say IOW 2007 on them I could even be sold a 2006 wristband! Sorry for the questions im desperate to see the Stones and paying £300+ for 2 x tickets from Ebay when im off to Glastonbury a week later is out of the question. Thanks Alex
russellelly
Going from last year (things can and do change of course!): Campers had a wristband (one only). Non-Campers had a different wristband. At NO POINT were stubs needed. And since there'll be loads of people about it should be fairly obvious what colours the wristbands should be. Last years were gold for camping, and I think pink/purple for non-camping (?). Remember there are tickets to be had on Ticketzone (if they ain't gone) at face value (+ bking). See a few threads down. manda
I'd be very wary about buying Wristbands that have been glued back together- They sometimes give them a tug to check and they're bound to fall apart when you're least expecting it! adstristar
Sounds pretty straight forward. I wish I could just buy 2 tickets and forget about it but £300 for me and the wife to see the Stones is out of my reach its worth every penny and more if your there for the weekend mind you. GoaldenBoots
Hi Alex - I've bought a weekend ticket or wristband (I dont know yet as it hasnt arrived from Ticketmaster!) and I only really bought it for the Friday. I'm definitely not going on the Sunday and I'm thinking of not going on the Saturday either. I'd sell you my ticket or wristband (or both!) for something like £30 if it was just for Sunday or £50 if it was for both days. Let me know if you're interested. I know you're looking for two but I'd save you a lot of money for the first ticket. Thanks.
