Who can explain this photo to me?!?!

Hmmmm I do see what you mean, it was the morning when I took this pic I think, what if the bench is about a metre behind them, literally just behind where their shorts meet in the middle so is out of sight, but because of the angle of the light coming in being morning, the shadow goes forward alot, cos their shadows are quite long. So the kid jumped on a bench about a metre and a bit behind them? Im trying to come up with valid theories cos I know that it is legit so there must be some kind of explanation.

If I took that photo I would not be able to settle until I got to the bottom of it I would consult profesionals/specialists and I would contact the festival builders to find out if there is a bench there in relation to the back ground and I would probably pay a lot of money if needed!

Really?! Blimey. I have half thought 'Oh I might look in that spot to see if there is a bench there' if that counts?! I just put it down to being a funny pic!

What a cool thread...what I love about these boards is the creativity of people on here and also the ingenuity!

Thinking it might be genuine now...

The possible giveaway is the shadow on the water between the two individuals in the foreground, which belong to the little carthief.

The shadows are being cast forward, towards the taker of the photograph.

If only the two people were there, there would be a light patch on the water between them....

Maybe the little purse-snatcher is still wrapped up in somebody's anorak somewhere?

It is genuine! Have decided first thing I will do after tent erection is complete is take a walk over to the band stand with photo in hand, stand in the correct place and see if there is a bench or anything similar there he could be standing on.

This does demonstrate my point adequately though... see the water between the two nice gentlemen.. it is light in colour, as it has nothing to reflect.

Put a mischevious disembodied joyrider behind them, however, and that area will suddenly become dark....

I think everyone is missing the point a bit here about this magical kid who looks a bit like one of those kids who annoy you at a family party, the real mystery in this photo is whether the bloke is talking on a hands free kit or is he just listening to a mini radio in one ear?

haha, indeed. I don't know how I managed to miss him either, or how Louise and Darren didnt notice a kid popping up right behind them! It wasnt until i looked at the photos later on I even noticed him, very funny!
