Yeah of course there could be a fantastic Saturday headliner and undercard to match...

but if the top act on the Friday is SFG, then the undercard that day will be decidedly weak... as not many good acts will want to play below them

Rockness is certainly looking alot better with todays additions, but I wonder if there is problems with Belladrum.

Remember the ticket saga, when they were meant to go on sale and then nothing for ages...

I hope Robert, Joe and the team haven't taken their eye of the ball with Bella and been focusing on Rockness (same bookers)

Still hopeful for a great Saturday headliner to be pulled out the bag.. seems weird only one act announced as all previous years there has been quite a few announced initially :D

I went to Bella when Automatics were there and Embrace. I personally didn't see them and went to see other band in the tents, but I did have to go through 3 nights of drunken Neds shouting "what's that coming over the hill" all the bloody time.

It is true the Bella has a wonderful atmosphere and after staying in the family area last year, I found it a lot calmer and quietier. You still have to deal with drunk teens and the more "pop" a group is the more bams you get.

As a 34 year old I see Bella as a diverse festival but now I'm seeing it as a small T in Park. Aiming themselves at popularity rather than quality.

If saturday night headliner is "pop" then I will not be going as I think it would be too kiddie for me. I'm too old to deal with kids throwing up on my tent - again!

Saying that, if the other venues have more interesting groups then I would probably go and support the them. Just make sure my tent is away from the crowd!!! :D

Man - I sound like a fuddy-duddy!!!!

Never realised that it was the same folks behind both gigs. You would think in that case they would have some better contacts and the ability to attract a far better headliner. I know it's only the first announcement but I simply can't believe that that's the best they could get for the Friday. Very very poor choice. And judging by the rumours, it's a fair chance to be Deacon Blue (or similar dross) on the Saturday which I'm afraid will be the final straw ! :D

Was so looking forward to this one as well.

like i said before, if it was something like pearl jam then you could understand it being a special announcment wi just them.

seems a bit silly to have an announcment with only scouting for girls on it, as if theyre enough for people to stand up and take notice.

Just back from working at the SFG gig @ barra's

80% of the crowd were 14/15 year old screaming girls (Bunter.. jailbait :D)

Watched 1 1/2 songs and couldn't bear any more... cheesy pop and sounded no better than the average pub band..

They need to pull a blinder of a Saturday headliner to make up for this :D

Well I was right, the kids are loving it. The gf also pointed out that SFG are doing an academy tour just now and it's a complete sell out. Doubt the Magic Numbers could do that, they're obviously popular.

Maybe they've been listening to ME and trying to target the yoof. Still think it's a dodgy move for Bella thou, bit of a gamble.

And Paul's point is very true as well.
