Some of the negative reviews, yes I know there are positive ones too but these sum it up for me :D

...The worst album I have ever heard in my entire life bar NONE. I work in HMV and so frequently have to contend with listening to awful new releases constantly, but as far as I am aware this is the only album that the managers will actually turn off halfway through due to it being completely dire, whilst I am left to grimace whilst handing the CD over to customers willing enough to spend good money on it.

This album has no depth whatsoever and provides nothing for a musically sophisticated ear. Despite this we will doubtless see releases such as this being churned out by record companies for at least a few years to come. Indie is not the new sound, is not cool, is not clever and is not inventive. It is just pure drivel.

Yet again you have failed to read posts, look over the past 5 pages again!

No one has said there shouldn't be family friendly acts at a family festival, infact quite the opposite :D I have never said they shouldn't play. I just think it's a poor headliner which is what I have said all along

The main reason of concern from everyone is their placing on the bill, please read the thread before spouting more rubbish :D

I am not too proud to admit that I love SFG and was in Glasgow to see them last night too, but unlike Paul watched the whole show and watched the sell out crowd go mad, singing all the words to all the songs. Funny that such an unpopular choice have sold out all the dates on their tour, except a few seated tickets for Bradford! By the way they were absolutely brilliant.

It's quite sad that there seems to be so many of you on here who have decided the fate of the festival following the announcement of one band - have some faith people! I wonder also if you have forgotten about the many other stages that will be running at the same time as the main stage, surely if you don't like what you see there, move on somewhere else. I was there for the first time last year and there was loads going on, yes the main stage is important but equally so are all the other stages.

I was looking forward to it even before yesterday's announcement.

C'mon Paul, surely we all allowed an opinion, you don't like them, I do and because someone else agrees with me you have resorted to mocking us. Can we not just agree to disagree, move on from Scouting for Girls (they are confirmed, no amount of moaning is going to change that) and start looking forward to what we both agree is a great event?

just read a review of SFG single in The Guardian magazine ( yes I know i read the guardian shoot me) absolutely slating it!

I am waiting now to see what else is on the bill before I start to worry- although my 12 year old daughter is happy to see this headliner- she says that at least she knows the songs to sing along to and I suspect that is the same opinion of all of her friends.

Do you not think you are being a little extreme, calling people names is one thing but encouraging people to single out one of the promoters to send what I can only assume is abusive messages is another - you are behaving like both a spoilt child and a bully! In fact I think I might just email him now to congratulate him on the choice and tell him how much I am looking forward to Belladrum this summer.
