chownsy
What has the class system got to do with anything. I'm as working class as anybody, work around 60 hours a week and can't help thinking you're talking crap. Sorry Mel.
Hammer
How did you guess they would be released early? and why did you? I think its a bit bollox to say that if you cant afford it, dont go. The point that the people above are making is that its not the ideal time of year to have to shell out the money. Most people could probably do with spending £130 (plus fees) on other things this time of year in particular, but give it a couple of months when Christmas is passed its no bother getting a ticket at all for most. If there had been some kind of warning, then perhaps more of us would've put money aside, but as it happens there wasnt. I'm sure most of us will be fine, we all post on a festival forum so will probably end up giving up something else to make sure these tickets are purchased as its clearly a big part of our lives, but some people will miss out. I think that is unfair.

pc18568
i dont think she was trying to do who works the most hours competition here, she was pointing out that people that come from wealth can just go "daddy can you buy this for me" and wallop its done. where as mel only is able to work 30 hours a week and with everythign else that has to be shelled out at xmas this couldn't have come at a worse time

Hammer
To be fair, there have been lots of posts on here for months about tickets going on sale early- in fact i believe it was originally due to be November. I also read it in other places also so we have had a few months to prepare. I agree December is a shite time to do it, but personally it's going to work out better for me as in 3 months time when V or Reading go on sale (Whichever i end up going to) i wont have to worry about shelling out on 2 lots of festival tickets in the space of 2 weeks like i have done the last few years.
