I didn't actually mean that though

he lost the title match against Cena at Mania 22

he lost the title match against Batista at Mania 21

he lost the title match against Benoit/HBK at Mania 20

was he at last years mania? or was he injured?

last time he won a title match at mania was 5 years ago when he beat Booker T in the 4th down main event under Brock v Angle, Rock v Austin & Hogan v Vince

Oh man, there needs to be a good wrestling game for me to give a damn about wrestling again. No Mercy on the N64 was incredible, even people that hated wrestling understood how good that game was, and as a result started watching it just to see if the 'real' thing was better (which it wasn't in all honesty - the fighting in the videogames actually looks more realistic ;) )

Now all we have is those God awful Smackdown games..........

I think it's a shame there's nobody like The Rock or Steve Austin around anymore. They may still have HHH but the likes of Foley, Rock, Austin etc bouncing off his character was actually really good fun to watch. Watching Rock run circles around his opponent with just his trash talking and Steve Austin running around with his razy redneck shenanigans was always good. Then you added the likes of Kurt Angle, Benoit and Jericho - who really complimented each other in terms of technical ability and personality and it was a great time to watch wrestling.

When I catch glimpses of it now on TV it's just so hollow. Vince McMahon is like a cartoon of his 90's persona, HHH is also arguably doing the same, Benoit's dead, Eddie's dead, Rock has moved onto Hollywood, Austin ran his course as has HBK and especially Hulk Hogan. Chris Jericho is probably the only reason I'd bother watching wrestling these days, as all too many of them are just so "meh" - the new wrestlers don't seem to leap out of the screen the way they used to when Rock and HHH were fighting over the belt, they try, but they lack the natural charisma of those that are either dead or no longer there. Such a shame.

Agreed it's because the landscape of wrestling has changed these days they just pick up random guys stick them in development for 6months and then they're on the roster, theres no paying their dues, im reading Jericho's book and the shit he went through before getting to the WWE its just not there anymore, the guys don't have the same passion

HHH paid his dues and worked his ass off to get where he is now, and I respect the heel out of the guy and make no mistake hes still a draw, and how you can say Matt Hardy is over more than him, no way, Hardy is over because he is and always will be an underdog, and the old school fans love a underdog

But when they get rammed down your throat every week the fans get sick of it, Vince is a f**king idiot, fair enough hes done great business in the past, but he doesn't know what the fans want anymore, he still thinks that he can tell the fans what they want and he can't, the sooner Vince retires the better, the boom he had when he took over changed the wrestling landscape forever, we need another boom and as long as Vince is there it ain't gunna happen, we all know Steph is taking over and Im not sure she'll be the one to change things around either

Shane was never in line to take over, Steph pretty much runs it now with Vince already

Shane does more of the marketing/internet/business side whilst Steph actually does the booking, who gets pushed, hired, fired etc, its always been Steph in that role for about 10 years

Reasons to watch Raw

1- Greatest promo by Flair in ages

2- Proof that Ashley is made of plastic

3- UMAGA cuts a promo!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!

You know, they've done nothing with Flair since Evolution, and even then he was a sideshow, this man is the greatest thing on Raw in years.

so... anyone up for a quick predictions game?

Place your bets now:

- WWE Champ - Orton vs Cena vs HHH

- WH Champ - Edge vs Undertaker

- MitB Ladder Match - Carlito, Chris Jericho, CM Punk, John Morrison, Kennedy, MVP, Shelton Benjamin

- Maid Floyweather vs Big Show

- Umanga vs. Batista

- Ric Flair vs HBK

- Maria & Ashley vs Beth Phoenix & Melina

- Fit Finlay vs JBL

- ECW Champ - Chavo Guerrero vs Winner of the Battle Royal (pick Chavo or Opponent)

- Battle Royal - Elijah Burke, Lance Cade, Deuce, Domino, Tommy Dreamer, Jim Duggan, Festus, The Great Khali, Mark Henry, Hardcore Holly, Jesse, Kane, Brian Kendrick, Kofi Kingston, The Miz, Shannon Moore, Trevor Murdoch, Jamie Noble, Chuck Palumbo, Cody Rhodes, Snitsky, Matt Striker, Val Venis and Jimmy Wang Yang

- Bonus: Rain or no rain.

Pretty tough to get all 11 correct, but you never know. I'd personally be disappointed to get less than 6 correct, but then again you know its a great ppv if it's unpredictable. Mark your picks down in spoiler tags.

My picks:

HHH, Undertaker, Jerricho, Mayweather, Batista, HBK (although I hope to god Naitch does it and carries on and on and on), Maria & Ashley (Phoenix is a man), Finlay (with a bit of help from 'lil bastard'), Opponent, Matt Hardy, Rain bwhahahaha!)
