Stone Cold Steve Austin wrote a blog on his BrokenSkullRanch.com website to explain his absence from yesterday's RAW 1000 show.

"The reason I did not attend RAW 1,000 was because I underwent a major knee surgery on my left knee on July 2, 2012," Austin wrote, saying he watched the show from his Los Angeles home.

The WWE Hall of Famer said that the surgery was a complete success but he is three weeks post op and just started physical therapy a few days ago. Austin said that he is still on crutches and then he's back to wearing a knee brace for around 9-12 more weeks.

"There was no way I was going to limp down the ramp on crutches for RAW 1,000. It was time to get my knee fixed. The decision to no-show RAW 1,000 was made by me and no one else," Austin added.

Austin said that he's sorry he missed the show and he would have loved to be there under different circumstances.

"I normally keep my personal business to myself, but due to feedback and incorrect speculation, I have posted this blog and given the 411 on why I was not at RAW 1,000."

I watch all my wrestling on WWEO.NET now, up as soon as its aired in the states and takes out all the ads. Even though I pay for Sky Sports, and RAW is set to record, always end up watching online instead, just easier for me.

See it IS confirmed Kharma has left WWE and Velvet Sky has left TNA.

Velvet wanted more money than they would pay her so she left, fair enough, she's their biggest name and homegrown female but they'd rather pay the big money to Mickie and Gail Kim. Mind you the rise of Tess has kinda killed off Velvet wonder if WWE would risk brining in Angelina and Velvet now they're both free agents.

Would destroy that lame version they had with Laycool.

I thought RAW was good last night. Not a great episode but overall good enough

The positive of 3 hours is that we get longer matches with people who can actually work.

Bryan/Sheamus was good and so was Jericho/Christian vs Ziggler/Miz

The main problem with 3 hours is the amount of recaps. Lost count the amount of times they showed the

HHH/Lesnar promo from RAW 1000

Kevin Nash gave an interview as part of a story on him where he took a critical stance against smaller wrestling stars, noting his opinion that Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero becoming world champions was the end of the industry.

"When Benoit and Guerrero hugged [at the end of WrestleMania XX], that was the end of the business," he said. "Has business been the same since that WrestleMania? Has it come close to the Austin era? Has it come close to the NWO or the Hogan era? You put two fucking guys that were great workers that were the same height as the fucking referees, and I'm sorry, man. Are you going to watch a porno movie with a guy with a three-inch dick? Even if you're not gay, you will not watch a porno movie with a guy with a three-inch dick. That's not the standard in porno films. So you put a 5-foot-7 guy as your world champion."

Nash took the analogy to current main eventers C.M. Punk and Daniel Bryan as well, noting, "They are not bigger than life. I bet they could both walk through airports and not be noticed unless they have a gimmick shirt on and the belt."

Very Disrespectful words from Nash.....Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Shawn Micheals are not bigger then life men yet they are possibly 3 of the most accomplished wrestlers of the last 25 years.

Meanwhile the summerslam undercard is getting intrested Ziggler vs Jericho and D bryan vs Kane should be both excellent matches.

Hopefully after a series of dreadful ppv's, summerslam will be good.

Rubbish from Nash. Flair, Bret, Savage and his good buddy and best of all time HBK weren't big. Even as far back as Bob Backlund.

Can't ever remember Nash being in a good match. Great mic skills and spots though. But hes from the Hogan school. All mic and bluster and zero in ring technical ability.

Big men are always needed in wrestling, practically each era had big men.

But there are some that have technical ability and can adopt to different styles to produce great matches such as Vader, Undertaker, Kane and Bam Bam Bigelow

However there are others who have just looks or mic skills, such as Nash, Goldberg, The Great khali, Mabel (Big Vis) etc etc

Jericho gets Nash told.

Following Kevin Nash's comments on Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero ("When Benoit and Guerrero hugged [at the end of WrestleMania XX], that was the end of the business."), he and Chris Jericho got into a bit of a back and forth on Twitter. Here are their posts and some comments from Roddy Piper and MVP…

Jericho: "Funny how @realkevinnash says wrestling 'died' when Benoit and Guerrero were champs-Yet the worst year for WWE biz was 95 when he was on top."

Nash: "Once again the puppet master pulls the marks strings. Knew Jericho was a closet mark. First one eliminated on a bullshit sing show...REALLY!!"

Jericho: "Hope @realkevinnash doesn't tear his quad tweeting! #typicalbigman #nwothirdwheel."

Roddy Piper: "HOW CAN YOU NOT DIG JERICHO"

MVP: "Kevin Nash is right. Smaller guys don't draw. I mean who would pay any money to watch itty bitty guys like Mayweather or Paquiao?"

Nash has embarassed himself with these comments and likely won't be welcomed back into WWE or TNA cus it would cause too much locker room unrest. What a tool

Anyway

Just read AJ Styles brilliant interview with the Sun.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/wrestling/4470061/AJ-Styles-begs-TNA-for-PPV-in-UK.html

Hope he does convince them to hold a huge PPV in the UK, everything he says is right.

Sadly he says he wants to retire in 5 years time.

AJ STYLES has made the biggest rallying call yet for TNA to hold a pay-per-view in the UK.

Styles, 35, who was on TNA’s first-ever show in 2002, has seen the company become the top-rated wrestling programme on British TV and therefore feels it’s time to host one of their biggest shows on our shores.

Speaking exclusively on SunSport’s WrestleCast, AJ said: “We’ve probably grown most in Britain. The television over here is just amazing.

“But what baffles me the most is why we haven’t run a PPV here. That’s what I want to see.

“And not just any PPV. I want to see Slammiversary here. I want to see Bound for Glory here. These fans, they want it – let’s give it to them. They’ll be there, they’ll watch it. What’s the problem? Let’s get it done.

“Just tape it. You’d get it a couple of hours late (in the US) but people are going to buy the PPV whether it’s taped or not. They’re going to want to see it.

“If it’s a money issue, then there are going to be so many people in that arena that it’s not even going to be a factor.”

Speaking to SunSport while in Scotland appearing for the excellent Pro Wrestling Elite federation run by Lionheart, AJ had special words of praise for some of the British talent in TNA’s ranks.

He said: “I can’t wait to see Mark Haskins back in there doing the X Division stuff because he’s very, very good at it.

“And Doug Williams — I’ve known him for a long, long time. I have so much respect for Doug and how awesome he is.

“Before I got hurt we were in a feud almost two years ago and it was one of the best I’ve ever been in. I’d put it right up there with me and Christopher Daniels. This guy’s awesome, and he always has been. I’d like to see him used more.

“And Magnus... talk about leaps and bounds in how much he’s grown as a wrestler since he’s been in TNA. It’s unbelievable how good he’s gotten. He is a star.”

CAST YOUR EYE ON THAT .... AJ Styles joined Rob McNichol for WrestleCast

Here are some other highlights of the chat:

AJ the angle with Dixie Carter & Claire Lynch:

“This is a television show, this is entertainment. I have to trust in what they’ve pitched to me and hope that it turns out to be something that people hate or love. In fact, it doesn’t matter as long as they are watching.

“People can say ‘I hate it. You were sponsoring a drug addict, that’s so stupid.’ Well, you were watching.

“Whether you hate or love the storyline, you saw some great wrestling.”

AJ on wrestling Christopher Daniels at Destination X:

“That match was different from every match we’ve ever done. We sacrificed our bodies to make sure it was an entertaining match, and it was probably one of the better matches I’ve ever done.

“I was so proud of that match. The next day we were limping and our backs were hurting, but that’s what we wanted to give the fans. It was a brutal match, but the fact they are happy with it makes it all worthwhile.”

AJ on helping newer, younger talent:

“That’s my job as a leader. If these guys see me as a guy who has been there longer, then I feel like I’m here to lead these guys, not just in wrestling but in their lives. If I’m any kind of friend to them, or care about in any way, if they have problems I want to be there for them.

“I enjoy it. I want to help out. I feel like it’s my obligation. If I want to see TNA continue to do well, then I should go out there and help, and do whatever I can to make them better, so that there is someone to take my place when I’m gone.”

AJ on retirement:

“I would love to stop around 40. That’s my goal. It all depends. I don’t want to wrestle forever, I can’t. My body won’t hold up. It’s starting to break down already. When you hurt yourself chasing your kid, you’re getting a little bit too old.

“I want to be there for my family. I don’t want to look back and go, ‘I wish I’d been there’. My family is more important than my job.

“But I hope to be able to say that I was the first signed, and that I retired from TNA.

“I would love to continue to be part of TNA somehow (after I retire). I don’t know whether that is as an agent, or in the office, or handling talent relations. I would love to get the opportunity to sit down and talk to guys and say, ‘I know you want this, but this is where you’re at’ and be real with them.”

Few things here.

1- Bully Ray is considering jumping back to WWE, I hope he doesn't, Vince would bury him again IMO.

2- Kurt Angle has said he's going to run for mayor. Hmmm

3- WWE have pulled Del Rio v Sheamus from Summerslam a week before the PPV, due to storyline reason Del Rio beating up Sheamus for stealing his car.

WTF!

Come on WWE its a week before the PPV and you've been hyping it for months.

Is Del Rio injured again? has he failed a wellness test, or are they just booking on the fly?

There had better be a good reason

from AW twitter

"If I smoked crack or did steroids I'd get suspended but I made a joke and tweeted support Linda and I get fired. #Doesn'tAddUp #Hmmmmm"

Probably the prime time players will get buried in the lower card now.

Watched TNA Hardcore Justice.

What a freaking PPV, solid from start to finish, TNA are absolutely blowing WWE away right now and if you're a wrestling fan and you're only watching WWE you're a fool, seriously TNA have stepped it up that much, just a brilliant PPV. Main event went over 30 minutes too - Aires v Roode and it was excellent from start to finish.

4 way ladder match was superb too.

5 star matches.
