Atlanteanlost
That rather bitter post post says more about your own (apparant) pessimism and negativity and dare I say it cynicism than about anything I posted. GOOD OF YOU TO NOTICE, I WORK HARD AT IT Do you think sifi should get out of this thread as well, he isn't single either? Not at all, for two reason....1. He's funnier than you...2. He doesn't go on and on and on about how lovedup he is and how the whole world is rosie (tinted)
William of Walworth
You're a bit of nasty piece of work really aren't you? Well good luck on the relationship seeking front, I'd suggest you're setting up a lot of obstacles for yourself though . Embittered cyncism and resentment of other peoples' happiness isn't hot. To others : the above from me is in self defence against an astonishingly nasty personal attack when all I had done was attempt to offer some positivity to this thread, and attempt (misplaced it now seems) to spread the love a little bit. Oh and kindly stop exaggerating and distorting what I've posted here : He doesn't go on and on and on about how lovedup he is Edited February 6, 2008 by William of Walworth

sifi
I don't go on and on about how loved up I am. If I did they'd be vomiting aplenty, that much I can guarantee. I've not mentioned for the longest time that my life has been coloured by the pallet of the grand masters from the day that my muse fluttered down from the celestial heights and embraced me in the warmth of arms, nor have I reflected on the comfort that I derive from that and the strength that it gives me, nor the fact that my love is as a well from which I can replenish myself whenever I so wish. I've done none of things.

greeneyes1980
I know I'm not meant to be talking to you, but I can't resist all the potential orchestra puns. Are you going to ask her if she's had much experience conducting matters from the pit, or whether she's happy to blow on your pink oboe etc.

greeneyes1980
There's no shame in admitting you don't know how to pronounce something. Edited February 6, 2008 by greeneyes1980
Atlanteanlost
I apologise to all for so misjudging my earlier post and maybe its timing. It's also possible Atlantean thought I was having a personal pop at him with my first two lines of it which may (??)
Katster
yeah but i dont wanna look a stumbling fool, saying oh i like that piece by "vorak" or something. how cool is this, she played with Ben Folds in the Sydney Opera house!! i mean WHALLOP!! greeneyes1980
So don't say anything then. Talk about something you DO know how to pronounce, something you are confident about, something you have a genuine interest in? If I went out on a date with a footballer, I wouldn't pretend to know about football. I'm presuming you are not particularly interested in Opera? So don't pretend to be. William of Walworth
William, please remember my tongue is always firmly in cheek. I am also almost permanantly sarcastic, I even sound saracstic when I'm not being sarcastic, it is my curse. I am genuinely happy for you and may your happiness continue (thats not sarcastic but probably sounds like it is). I have had the pleasure of meeting you and respect you (again not sarcastic) But I can't help myself ok Edited February 6, 2008 by William of Walworth
Katster
no but i would like to show an interest in what she does, i aint gonna pretend i know anythign about it. but i do know what piece of music i just wasn't sure how to pronounce the composer
greeneyes1980
I'm fairly sure not knowing how to pronounce it would be fairly common for someone who doesn't know much about Opera music or composers
