I'm not  3 years with my gf (counting the horrendous month last summer where I told her I didn't want to be in a relationship anymore, woops) in May, thank you very much!

I just like to come in here, see how the happily single people are, long for freedom....

Wow, after over 2 years, I'm now most randomly not single!!

Been this girl I met at the pub with friends about 2 months ago and we got on really well, but she was with someone at the time. Then not long after, her and him split up because he was really, I meant REALLY, nasty to her. So I asked her out for a drink, just actually a drink because I knew she'd be feeeling a bit down, and we really got on well, even got the same sick/stupid sense of humour! Anyway we've met up a couple of times since then and got on really well and I thought it was really obvious that I liker her, but i'm actually shit and knowing what other people are thinking. So (with bit of prompting from Magical_Jen on here, thanks!) I sent her a text saying I really liked her......and she thought same, but didnt know if she was wanting to start anything at the time. So Wednesday night she asked if I wanted a drink, so thought "here goes nothing" and gave her a hug and a kiss....anyway that worked nicely. But a drunken kiss isn't much to go on, so went out last night and in our own spazzy way agreed that we'd really like to go out with each other, so ta da!! Was actually thinking there were no genuinely nice and funny people out there!!

Early days, but the signs are good so far

My god am I in pain! Think I may have slightly overdone it.

After getting back from Synergy (3 hours sleep on the coach) I went to York and had a baby placed on me (why do people always do that) and then my mate started rating for two hours as to why I should get girlfriend, get married, move out and buy my own house, stop going out so much, etc, etc, etc. He even got as far as insisting that I move in to their spare room.... Gawd, some people just don't get it.

Anyway, stayed up till the wee hours and then got woken up by the baby at 11 AM, before going round York for some shopping. Left York and went to the pub before going to someones birthday party last night till the wee hours. The person who'd party it was restores violet wands and sells them on ebay, so spent the night playing round with Tesla coils and huge electric sparks!

I'm just hoping I can find somewhere to go and power-nap today for a bit!

I've been expecting a similar barrage of "You should be's" from a couple of my married friends for a while now. Although I think I'm a little bit further down the list of peoples lives they need to "fix" than the people who have been coupled up as long as/longer than them who "need" to get engaged ASAP!

I don't really get how getting married suddenly makes you an expert on where people should be with their lives!

I don't know about you but I'm only 23 (or I will be next week) and just because most of my friends are married/engaged/with the people the will marry eventually, doesn't mean I should be scouring the country for a wife* ;)

*Edit: Although any applicants will be considered

Sure you'll all be glad to know I'm no longer single and will try to be not so much of a pain in the arse..

I shall however remain cynical whilst there is breath left in my body... I do get to annoy a fine wench on a regular basis though who seems to quite like it, so go me!
