Indeed, I really didn't want to be. Luckily I've found someone I can be with without it feeling like what I'd had experience of a relationship feeling like before (you know choking, suffocating, annoying, pathetic and dull....)

And so it came to pass that the seeds were sewn for the Singles thread to be infected by Radioheaditis ....

I've found the perfect antidote. It's called "Radiodread" by the Easy Star All Stars. I'd recommend it be taken daily with a couple of large spliffs until the stiffness goes down.

The only reason it was a consideration so early on was because of the fabulous job I'd applied for, had I got the job it would have been something we'd have discussed more seriously. I like living where I live, and it would take a lot for me to uproot and move to York (I'd like to see what it's like in the summer months to be fair, as I can imagine it being a bit of a nightmare when the tourists come). His house is nice but it's a house he bought with his ex and his mate lodges there, so it's not ideal as our first place together.

I'm definately not opposed to the idea of moving in with him, but surprising as it may sound (to Worm at least) we've only actually been together for just over 3 months. I think it will probably be something we talk about again more seriously maybe a year or so down the line. There's a massive Tosco close to his house so at the very least I could apply for a transfer there until something else came up which was more what I wanted to be doing full time.

I love my flat too, and I didn't put all that hard work into getting it to give it up easily. His house doesn't have a window like my flat does

Perhaps he'd like to move in with me? I'd definately be up for that, but again, he's worked hard to keep his house after splitting from his ex, he's lived there for 12 years so he's definately going to be a lot more settled than me. Plus, his television set would never fit in my flat.....it's the same as Worm's big doofer.

Watch this space I guess

Sorry if I put my foot in it, I didn't realise you hadn't got the job.

In my experience York is always quite busy because there's a lot of students. It's boun to get busier in summer (I suppose a lot of students will go home for the holidays) but it's the trade off you get when somewhere is so beautiful. It's not difficult to find nice little quiet areas in parks or by the river though. I used to love sitting outside a bar on the river-front with nothing to do.

I didn't have a chance of getting the job, it was given to someone who already worked there before I even went in for interview  (I'm over it though  )

You're kidding, the place is like a bloody ghost town at the moment (during the day I mean, at night it's always busy as people come from far away for nights out on the lash). He told me to make the most of it because it's heaving in summer. I can only imagine.

He has said we'll go out all day and sit by the river once the summer comes, sounds great to me
