Katster
I got a bit of a panic on last night. He was off out to the pub with his mates and said he'd speak to me later. I told him I'd most likely be in way before him as I was only going to the gym and then for a quick walk with my pal so I told him to phone me when he was ready. 10.30pm I get a text, the first line of which reads 'to be fair, I really don't want to phone you tonight, I don't want to speak to you' Oh here we go, this is where it all starts going wrong is it? Until I read the second bit which says, 'because I always end up making a tit out of myself!' Phew!! Thing is though, why do I always straight away think the worst? He's coming to see me tonight and I'm either cooking for him or he's taking me out for a meal. I've told him I'm easy

Millsy2008
I went out for a romantic meal with my pal on Valentines Day once when I was single, and then we went out and got smashed I'm not even seeing Mr Cheese on Valentines Day and he won't have bought me a present if he knows what's good for him. He's copied me Lilly Allen's cd because I vaguely mentioned that I liked her but he doesn't wait until Clintons says it is ok to show your love to someone before giving it to me...... What is an 'all the single ladies, all the single ladies' night? Sounds scary!! And on the other thing.....Sounds like he knows he's being used, but doesn't really mind because at least he still gets you. Why not make a go of it with him? Why isn't he boyfriend material?? Katster
the beyonce song, 'all the single ladies' were gonna sing it where eva we go on saturday haha!! i despise valentines and the likes becuz of the card industry its such a con! i think i do want to make a go of it but he thinks in just saying it. we talked about it a few times but never quite got a resolution just end up arguing or he pisses me off n says sumthing stupid like 'yeah but u don't really want to go out with me' im like who would u know what i want and don't want. anyways, the bf material thing...he's a good looking bloke who can pull the woman, with his cheesy chat, some might say sleazy but cuz i know him really well its just banter if you know what i mean. i don't think i could trust him, but at the same time i know a could. im not making sense at all am i, i haven't stopped thinking bout him all week my heeds burst

Katster
No need to start panicking my dear. That text message doesn't really say much and there could a whole manner of reasons why he didn't want to speak to you for example, he could have had a really shitty day in work and didn't want to take out his mood on you or, he could've even just got up on the wrong side of the bed, some idiot could have cut him up in traffic etc etc. Just see how it goes tonight, don't automatically assume the worse As for valentine's I am another one who can't stand the whole thing. @I prefeer to show somebody how I feel throughout the year, I have bought pressies that I think they would like, taken somebody out for a surprise meal, bought a nice plain card and written them a small mesage on how I feel about them. And I have managed to do that with no problem whatsoever and without the assistance of Hallmark
Millsy2008
Ohhh no, you've misunderstood me. I read the first bit of the text and felt because he didn't want to speak to me, but then when I read the second part which explained he didn't want to speak to me because he always makes a tit out of himself my mind was set back to rest and I called him up to tell him to stop being daft. He's convinced I'm going to eventually start getting annoyed by his drunkeness.....he couldn't be further from the truth My question here was why when reading the first part of his message did my heart immediately sink and my first instinct was to think everything had suddenly gone wrong.....even though nothing had lead me to believe that beforehand. He's decided I should go to his tonight instead, he's paying for me to get there as I'm skint and he's taking me out in York for a meal and some drinks I'm not in work tomorrow so I'm staying there until Saturday, Friday night he wants us to cuddle up on the sofa watching movies. He's cool. I'm glad I'm not the only person who spoils their partner throughout the year rather than just on a specific date which Clintons and Hallmark deem as being special. I also expect my man to treat me throughout the year too. The one I've found now most certainly does do, he's ace.

Glitter+Vodka
All week people have been saying to me, "so what are you doing for valentines day?" while making smalltalk type conversation. Why do people assume that everyone is in a relationship and will be doing something magnificent just coz its 14th feb? I'm not, and all my friends are, so I will be staying at home doing piss all.
