No one, whatever they say wants a doormat. I used to be nice in my youth, blundering under the crazy notion that what people (OK girls) wanted was a fella to be nice to them. Balls! I ended up loosing my virginity at 27 to a girl who looked like Les Dawson. After my first proper relationship went tits up (in which I had been f**king LOVELY.. she left in a I wanna be friends kinda way in the end after nearly five years. Ouch! ) I decided not to give a shit, seeing as trying as hard as you can didn't stop them leaving you either. And you know, I quickly discovered that girls DON'T actually want a doormat, and are far more likely to gobble your chopper if you get all Clarkson on their arse!

At the end of all though, it's all about something that is rather hard to define so usually get labelled something lame like "chemistry". Basically it means you have no control over who you love, nor any control over who loves you, or for how long these feelings may or may not exsist. So there is no answer to Kat's question about his mate. He's just unlucky. Tell him to grow a pair. Clarkson is a good example top me. Passionate, strong willed, argumentative and in control. Not all attractive traits, but never are they dull. And as random but hot chick Millsy proves above for us all. Be anything you like, but never be boring. Nice can be exactly that!

And yes I should add the main reason for the insecurities is rational - the concerns regarding my mother's attitude resurfaced last night, and I'm worried girlf spent the night worrying and is now thinking of bailing. So it's not entirely me being a tw@!

When I was worried over valentines weekend it turned out I had every reason to be even though my friends convinced me I was being paranoid.
