Just thought of something to report, though it's not massively related to this thread I get the impression some of you may have had similar experiences, perhaps even gone through it yourself and could offer me some advice on the best way to deal with this.

One of my mates used to smoke A LOT of weed. To the point that people around him were pretty much begging him to stop. He came off the weed about 2 months ago, and about 3 weeks ago he was diagnosed as clinicly depressed. He was supposed to come to Reading with me and a couple of his other mates, but dropped out the day before because he can't drink on the medication - this was the first we heard of this btw. He's now waking his girlfriend up at night shouting at people who aren't there, and can't go out iin public because he thinks people are talking about him and will shout at them.

I'm quite worried about her as well as him, as I've known her for years and she's not one to talk about her problems and is more likely to shut herself away as well. Just not sure what, if anything I can be doing as a friend in this situation, other than letting them both know I'm there for them if and when they're ready to talk to people.

But I couldn't approach her (not that I would have done anyway), because she appeared to be with her dad. Ok maybe she was quite young, but I don't care, she was at least 18 and oh so ripe

Things are going really well still. I cannot believe how subdued I am around her You don't even get an innuendo from me The weird thing as well is that I don't drink when I am with her. I went around to see her yesterday then after I got home she rang and we were on the phone for 6 hours

Aye, but as it never happened for me up until now, I never believed it before. Don't get me wrong, I've missed people before now, but this is different....this is like feeling lost.
