I played a bit in a HMV near work. It's cool, as far as a sim goes. It's not my preferred racer but it's of high quality in almost every aspect. I'll wait until I see the damage in the final game, as that will either change the game radically and for the better, or simply be dressing that does bugger all.

I just don't like this idea of paying for what is essentially a Beta release with things like damage not even implemented yet.

If Prologue was a free download, or a stripped version released as a demo, then that'd be OK.

Ahem.

Is this not the same but t'other way around? I see it as a reduced price taster for the main event. It's small in GT terms with only 50 cars, limited tracks and no car upgrades but it's still good value for £25. If the main game is as proportionally better as seems to be implied then I'll have no complaints.

I don't see it as the same, no. It's a demonstration of what will be in the final game. It's a clever illusion to trick the consumer into thinking they're getting the moon on a stick come the final games release.

It'd be like if Bungie charged people to play the Halo 3 beta last year. People would have still bought it but it would have been absurd.

Most companies have to pay people to test their games out, not the other way around.

thought I'd mention I got a wii last week for my birthday, I've got mario cart on pre-order, does anyone know if I need a steering wheel for each controller or is it pretty playable with just the joypad?

ohhh man, been playing PS3 allll day...

GT5 Prologue is great, its alot less impossible than the previous two, and at the start you can actually afford good cars! result.

and as im sures been said alot, COD4 is absolutely mint, and Devil May Cry 4, on a short play, seems f**king awesome too.

tis a mint game as stated. what class does everyone play usually...I play 52 player, no killcam servers with m16 silenced, uav jammer, smoke grenades, 3x frag etc...works a treat...generally avoid the rest of my party and just flank the enemy/play sneaky etc.

oh, and regards vice city/san andreas...i saw them as individual games myself...vice city introduced bikes which made a huge difference, and san andreas was just as good in my opinion, being able to basejump, fly planes/helicopters etc.

I don't own a ps3, but I personally wouldn't buy gt5 prologue, as would rather wait for the whole game...to be fair didn't play 4, and wasn't too keen on 3....1 & 2 were great at the time though.

WHsmith online is doing £5 off when you spend over £25, I've just picked up Mario Galaxy for £26, the offer is running till April 11th at 10am and you can pick up your order in store. It might be worth gambling and trying to order it at 9am on Friday morning to get the offer?

GT5 is awesome...but damn, the update for online is a f**king piss take. currently 30 mins and its on 50%. :@

Thats the one thing about the ps3 that's annoying.

I bought everybodys golf last week, i put it in the ps3, i then had to wait for it to install it onto the hard drive, it then had to update the game and then when i went to play online it had to update the ps3!

Took about 15 minutes before i could even play the game

Much prefer the 360 still, i've only got 3 games for the ps3 though cause any game that is on both of them i'm going to get for the 360.I probably can't really justify having it really as there aren't many ps3 exclusives i'm looking forward to

Loving everybody's golf, but since the new maps were released for cdo4 last night i don't think the ps3 is going to get a look in for a while now.

The blu-ray looks a lot better than the hd-dvd, but that's probably because i've got the ps3 through hdmi
