we played mario kart last night amongest many other games and Im surprised how difficult it is compared to the absolutely piss easy double dash on GC

Mario Kart = awesome.

I've only tried it with the wheel (for like 5 hours, multiplayer & online), and it takes a bit of getting used to. The reviews I read said the bikes were too sensitive - i thought they were right & the karts were too sluggish. The drifting action seems a little weird with the wheel too. Once I have popped out to get it from somewhere tomorrow I'll give single player & using a pad a go.

The thing I like most is that its now more based on the driving than the 'how many objects can you pick up'. Just makes it more fun!

Oh... the online 'world record' ghost data for the time trials are f**ked though; the ghosts they download just do 1 slow lap & then get stuck.

Edit; Is there anywhere online that actually has it in stock? I'm seeing nothing except game, who are selling it for £35 anyway (although you can bung on an official gamecube pad for £5 - thats not bad.)

Mario Cart came Thursday, Just had the first chance to play it today and really enjoyed it, I've worked through 4 of the 50cc tracks, really like the steering wheel and so I'll be getting another.

I don't really care much about ratings when it comes to games like Mario Kart, you know its gunna be decent at the worst and its way better than Double Dash so you can't go wrong really by getting it
