I like what Sony are doing following the PSN 'outage' - they're putting their cards on the table and now giving frequent updates. They're now offering free identity theft protection, one free months subscription to the Plus service and now two free PS3/PSP games!

wow, free stuff! makes it all better does it?

my mate traded his ps3 last week over this debacle. 70 million people have their names, addresses, dobs, and psn passwords nicked - and people say "ooooh, free stuff".

facepalm

PSN passwords were hash encrypted so should be pretty useless, especially as you will have to reset your password when you go back online. They havent lost any credit card details and have had no reports of any credit card fraud to back it up.So someone somewhere has my name, dob and address somewhere....I am not too concerned. If somebody really wanted those details they probably could get them.As far as I'm concerned....storm in a teacup

I'm not too concerend either to be honest, my credit card details the psn had on file were well out of date so nothing lost there, name address date of birth getting lost are no big deal really so a couple of free games for nothing would be nice, how are they going to allocate free games? through your psn id?

PSN passwords were hash encrypted - and shouldn't be a problem provided you're not an idiot who uses the same password for anything (Not that this should be an issue anyway). The rest of the stuff is a shame, but it's also stuff readily available for people to find on any of our facebook accounts, or efestivals accounts, or whatever. I don't like it being 'stolen' but in all honesty what are they going to do with my name, address and dob? (Perhaps I just lack imagination)

I don't see what we can really do except be happy Sony are at least giving us some sort of compensation, upping their network security and rolling out free programs against identity theft. Do you propose mass PS3 burnings? Should we all go out and trade our PS3's in for 360's? Or just sit on forums constantly bitching about Sony, refusing to ever move on and accept stuff like this happens...

The reality is I, and most others (At least who I know), will continue using PSN as normal. I guess if you're really concerned you could buy PSN cards at shops instead of use your credit card, but once you go down that road I'd advise never putting your card into anything, as nothing is secure and there's been plenty of data steals in the past (Hell, I had my number stolen from a cash machine camera last year).

I just wish PSN would go up so I could play some games online, I have nothing single player left :(.

i had a 360 for 4 years maybe more and i traded it in for a ps3, i am happy enough with it even tho the psn is down.

the only problem is, there is not enough RTS games out apart from ruse and c&c.

i just cant wait for the psn to come back online so i can start handing out ass whoopings :P

Saying that though it's quite important that people move on, but never ever forget about it. Giant companies only do what they can get away with, if people just go "Everythings fine! Thanks for the free shit!" then we're truly f**ked as a society. Moaning is useful in some cases.

Some DLC news I found which probably only I care about.

Super Street Fighter IV arcade edition is out on 7th June. Think it 1200 points.

For Fallout New Vegas

Honest Hearts is out May 17th, Old World Blues in June, and Lonesome Road in July. Lonesome Road should be good as it carries on the main story.

Each DLC again raises the level cap by five. So by my maths should be up to level fifty once all said and done.

At the end of June there's going to be a disc release. I'm going to hold off just because it'll retain some value. It's going to a be a hard 3 weeks.

It'll be nice to have Yun and Yang back, I'm not too bothered about Oni and Evil Ryu. They could have jammed a couple more characters in, Alex would be nice, maybe Rolento.

today only my arse. well maybe technically, but it'll be that price standard in the summer.

top spin 4 is pretty decent, but i can't help but think virtua tennis will blow it out the water based on the advert.

la noire, is there going to be any price wars do you think, or will i get raped for £40?
