Secret Garden Party 2008

I'm a little confused over the beer comment:

Drinks weren't that cheap and you did get a search on the way in but there's a tesco a drive away and sure you could get something there

If they search you on the way in, how does a trip to Tesco help? Surely you get searched on the way back in? Basically, I can't afford to pay £3 for every beer I may drink over a 4 day stint! Don't mind buying the odd one, but would prefer to have a crate in the tent.

Past attendees: How did you do it?

Thanks

Bag searches are thorough. They need the alcohol money to keep going. Basically you can't walk in with a crate on your shoulder, nor bottles of spirits in you backpack.

Car park is but minutes walk from campsite so a few strategic daily trips will allow you to get a few drinks in - up to you to come up with your method though!

re 15/16-yr-olds - it's a gamble again - no ID check as such - so reckon you'll be okay with a few weeks stubble and a pipe!

lots more acts announced - Late of the Pier, Metronomy, Kissy Sellout.....
