What a pointless thread - you get what you get on the Friday, the Saturday AND the Sunday!!

Any Festival goer who doesn't pack for Sun AND Rain is a nutter......

Apols to other EoTR goers for going on about it a bit too much though <non existent embarassed smilie>..... just desparate for a dry final festival. So that I can go packing shorts and sandals and tshirts and no tent and no waterproofs and no boots .....

I'm interested though it won't affect my packing. I appreciate never having to look anything up for myself though Also we should all take heart from the fact that metcheck have in my experience got it right once. ever.

After the mud of the Green Man [ which was still fantastic ] i really hope the weather improves --i can just about put up with mud and rain as long as theres no gales--my main concern is many of the bands i want to see are in the smaller tents where everyone will rush if it rains.

B ut regardless i'm going to have a superb festival,i thought last year was one of the best weekends i've had at a festival and this years line up is even better.The fact that its sold out with,besides Mercury rev,bands only normally playing small venues speaks volumes.

Calm down William, I am aware that the thread is about EOTR as a whole, I was only referring to those 'unmissable' metcheck updates.

I am also aware of the washout at another weekend Festival - it's 5 miles up the road from me.

AND, yes I am going to EOTR AGAIN - perhaps we can share a cooling pint or a warming Bovril, should our muddy paths cross!

Practical question to which regulars might know the answer : Will any food stalls be open on Monday morning to get breakfast, and will they be on a part of the site accessible from the campsite even if the main arena is closed?

Basically, yes. There were a couple of stalls open on the Mon morning last year, so I assume the same will apply this year.

There's a bunch of stalls, plus the Bimble, plus the Big Top stage all outside the "main arena", right next to the campsite and pretty much accessible 24/7 (though not open 24/7 of course).

Yeah - there was a massive "families leaving before the traffic" exodus on the sunday afternoon. I quite liked it though - bags of room for watching Lambchop and the Sunday night knees-up in the Big Top was my favourite of the weekend.
