One of you has chosen my dream festival band.....but sadly to date they are not playing...(HMHB)

so there you go.....i probably cant say much else otherwise i will give the game away, and that would be trouble

why would we need the last shadow puppets when we have richard hawley? (haha....)

Actually, did you know that hte string arrangements on that are by owen pallet, aka final fantasy who also did strings for arcade fire? Theres a fact of the day for you.

In other news the 'Playeotr' bands have been contacted now, and are due for announcement on june 9th

It wasn't a way of staying stop speculating, be my guest! However, what i meant was that I can't ACTUALLY tell you that you are right or you are wrong because we are only allowed to release full details after a certain date.

by saying very very close i didnt mean it would be the singer of a band without his band, or an acoustic show, or any of these. I just meant you are getting to a point now where the same few names are coming up and I can't say. Yup thats the one, even if it was there....

But please, feel free to speculate- we did listen to what you say, and get some ideas too! I am sure you will think it fits the EOTR ethos when you find out who it is...plus, even if it isnt your favourite band ever, hopefully there is plenty of other things for you to look forward to.

Next announcement will be around 9th of june and will be the play eotr bands (of which over 600 applied for 10 spaces!). Having spent the last month listening to them i have whittled down what I feel to be the best .....so now we need to find out if they can still play, and then details will be released.

Also next week, we will be working on the stage times and running order......and a variety of other goodness.......

Just checked their website and they've not released anything since 2006, although they're doing a lot of US touring this year so a new one must be on the way. SBE is their only UK date, though, which would be odd at that time of year.

Have released an album this year and the Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan guess would count as "close"

Miracle Fortress appear to be mysteriously absent from the website poster at the mo. Am I being paranoid, or have they cancelled? I've been loving their album, so I'm desperately hoping it's the former!

(Also, while I'm here, will the Bimble Inn be returning this year? I notice that's not mentioned on any EOTR bumf and it's not mentioned on the Bimble's own website...)

I believe there have been some complications in the Miracle Fortress Camp.....but work is in progress. Sadly at the moment I can't say 100% they are playing....

However, i can say that there is a cover of daft punk on their myspace page at the moment. Sorry not to have better news....
